  1. Yeah, my brother had the same setup (TTT) for his Datsun 510 and it wasn't all that difficult for his buddies to set it up.
  2. Thanks for the detailed reply man. That does help.
  3. Here's a quick shot of what's happening with my frame rails although I do not know the technical details of it.
  4. Hey guys, Wondering what the big difference between the two setups are? The price difference is significant enough. How about the performance of the kit? Just a bit of a quick background of what I'm doing with my car. I'm installing an RB25DET and making it a daily driver for Spring/Summer and minimal track time. Front brakes and Chassis reinforcements have already been complete. Rear brakes and roll bar is next. Anyways, on to the coilovers below. Techno Toy Tuning Weld-On Coilover Kit - $399 and combined with Techno Toy Tuning weld in Camber Plates - $180 Z Store (Motor Sport Auto)- $969.95 Techno Toy Total - $579 + Shipping MotorSport Auto - $969.95 + Shipping Techno Toy uses the Ground Control springs while MSA uses Eibach springs.
  5. Hella H4 housing has been bought. Also got my HID kit. I actually got a sweet deal on Alumina Conversion Kit (ALU-H4BXK6 - H4 BI-XENON-6000K). I was supposed to get it at cost through a dealer that I know but he kept on forgetting to bring it to me ... 5 days in a row. Soooo ..... he gave it to me for free! How nice of him eh? Still have to figure out some other details of this but I have plenty of time to figure it out. The car is in the shop until June anyway. [Edit] Will lens covers affect the way the light is projected?
  6. The stuff this guy used is apparently good for 4 years.
  7. A friend just sent me this. The results are pretty good. This is probably easier than the "Tremclad Roller Paint Job". Check it out. My car is currently in the shop for a RB Motor Swap. I wonder if I should attempt this in a Flat White Vinyl? Hmmm. If I could actually get results equal to that, it would definitely be worth it. I've already attempted the Tremclad roll on paint job and it turned out .... not so pretty. http://www.unfinishedman.com/how-to-paint-your-car-flat-black-for-cheap
  8. Not a bad color at all. I don't recall seeing that on a S30 before. That color and a carbon fiber hood.
  9. Very interesting. A few members in my family have recently purchased some pricey cameras and lenses. I haven't played around with the video capable DSLR's but they seem pretty neat.
  10. Why mess with perfection ........ near perfection.. sort of. You know what I mean.
  11. I wonder how many miles the "White Zombie" can do as a daily driver without using all the juice for crazy take offs.
  12. Not bad at all! Should be great on gas. What year is that?
  13. Haha. I live in Vancouver, BC. Yes, BC drivers suck big time. There is a huge international community here, which might explain some of it. They take their driving habits of back home and bring them to Canada. Have you guys ever been in a taxi in India/Pakistan??? After arriving "safely" at my destination, I was doing this to have made it alive.

Agreed ^ I'd either turbo a KA motor or an SR20DET in there.
  15. Well, glad it's back. At least it will be fixable damage. You can change your signature now! My car is in the progress of getting an RB put in to it. I'm now thinking of various security measures I should be looking into.
  16. What a freaking blow eh? Sorry to hear and hope she turns up in one piece!
  17. ....... until sometime in the summer. I just got home moments ago after leaving my car in some good hands for a motor swap. The guys I left it with will be putting in an RB25DET along with chassis reinforcements, brakes, suspension, R230 diff, roll cage, and any bodywork that needs to be done. They lifted the car up and were pretty surprised to see that everything was pretty much solid and very minimal rust. We'll see what happens as they rip it apart and dig deeper but so far, it looked pretty good. Unfortunately, we have no room to work on our car and our strata does not allow us to work on cars. So, we've had to through a 3rd party. After a lot of research, I found the right people. These guys know what they are doing and are just finishing up a restoration on a 280Z they they stripped to nothing and built it up again with a VG motor in there. All the other places I went to have a good reputation but have never worked on a Z before. Just based on the questions these guys asked me, I knew that these guys know what they are talking about besides that fact that they are currently working on a Z. Anways, we'll see how she turns out. The count down starts!! Cheers
