  1. Although I don't know the rate or amount of stolen ID'S a good rule of thumb is to e-mail the seller and question them about their item even if you don't plan on follwing through especially when their feedbacks are for items that have nothing to do with what is for sale. The first clue on the above item was the seller posted to not use e-bay e-mail because it was an old address. RIGHT!!! Also I checked one of the feedback items and her address was in CANADA and he was using a USA one. When things don't add up there is a reason LARRY
  2. Being in the mood to stir things up and really pissed at phoney sellers, I have a blue star rating( over 50 100% positive feedback profile on e-bay), I e-mailed both the item's seller address and the "stooge's" msn address. The item seller said she sells trading cards and her ID has been stolen for this item. In the e-mail to the stooge I asked for his phone number and where I can inspect the engine. Stooge's reply was even if I brought him cash he could not show me the engine because it was in a " closed warehouse that even he can't get in." He said to wire his supplier and the engine will be shipped free of charge and all the parts will be with it to just transfer them to my car and drive it away. Where was he last year when I needed him for my 75 280Z blower project The good thing after all of this is e-bay pulled the item!!!!!!!!! LARRY

  6. I also have a 80 280ZX and a FSM for it. It says, for both hesitation-stumble on acceleration and for backfiring , check for intake air leakage at the P.C.V. valve, dipstick and oil filter cap seals, manifold gaskets, and the air flow meter hoses. It also says to check your fuel pressure. Good Luck on this. LARRY

  11. Sorry, I should of more strongly stated that the parts are not cheap seeing that I purchased the dash, center console, and front /rear bumper sets for my 72 240z restoration project from them!! And I thought the 75 280z sbc/ blower project was a big hit to the wallet Don't forget that the UPS man will want money when he delivers because of the customs fee that you have to pay LARRY

Send me a private e-mail and I will let you know the things to do and not do. To do this right you better have a big wallet . As to the stock hood I have a 5 in scoop with 1/2 in. clearance with it. Good Luck with your project LARRY
  14. I remember all those things!!!! Shows what being 60 yrs. old does to a person ...... This led me to a few thoughts. My brother's teenage daugther, who is involved in high school softball in our city, is costing him $3,000 for equip. and out of state travel for the opportunity of her being on the varsity team. I was lucky to have a handme down glove. I have a 10 minute mow job for my front yard so I told the neighborhood boys that I would give someone $5.00 to mow it ( earn them some money), no way they said that's worth $20.00 . I'll do it myself!! Next door kids tell me how stressfull school is but they come home each day with a cellphone in their ear and no homework I guess I'm missing something or is it just those 60 yrs. doing it : LARRY
  15. Now I know what it's like for a kid to be turned loose in a candy store!!!!!! There's nothing like being surrounded by Hbrid Z's of all mods and having the time and place to enjoy them up close and personal. Much thanks to all involved in setting this up and to the many car owners who came. I'M still smiling LARRY
  16. FYI. I have a 4 in. clearance on my sidepipes and I have a constant battle with off street parking lots and sharp angled entrance curves. One problem is that there are so many differant speed bump sizes in parking lots that I "recon" the lots first for a suitable parking spot. Anything less than 4 ins. of clearance you are asking for trouble LARRY

  18. This does get one to wonder about this seeing that of 64 GALLERY ALBUMS , 24 had no pictures in them and the 64 albums had 134 pictures, an average of around 2 per album. Just a thought!!! LARRY
  19. Amen on that!!! A " let's do this to have something different ", turned into a $20,000 project, mainly because of the, while we have this out let's replace this, syndrome. :malebitchslap: LARRY

  23. I'll add to the list of people saying it's crud on the needle. There's nothing worse than to be in traffic and the car dies and you hope you can roll into a parking spot!!! That's what happened to me and then opened the hood and find gas running down the carb. I then took the air cleaner off and just turned the key to run the fuel pump and gas shot up out of the carb. A small piece of crud was on the needle, that's all it took to cause my situation. LARRY
