  1. I was not running the ACT clutch but I did run another brand of race clutch. I had to buy a slave cylinder from a 71 z. It has an adjustable throw. This was the only way I could get mine to work.
  2. The most cost effective racing clutch I ran is from 10000rpm in california. double disc 5.5". Everything you need. from flywheel to pressure plate. All you need is an 71 -73 slave cylinder with adjustable through and fab a clutch pedal stop. No big deal. The flywheel is the standard l28 size so no grinding block to make things fit and no special starter. The whole setup was $895.00 and held like no other. This was after I shreaded a centerforce dual friction twice. Is it for racing and is not a good setup for the street due to the constant maintenance. But if you race then you are used to that IMPORT RACING CLUTCHES & FLYWHEELS LIST RACER APPLICATIONS:Datsun/Nissan, Toyota 2 & 3 TC, 20-22R, and 2.6 L Mitsubishi 5012 2 Disc 5.5 Clutch & Flywheel Complete 945.00 895.00 http://www.10000rpm.com/price.htm

  7. Can you determine rear diff ratio by a casting number? My car is a 77 it has an r200 but I want to make sure of the ratio. Also Is anyone running a Muncie? What is the top end like with a SBC at 6500 rpm 16" wheels approximately? Thanks. Oh I have been searching the forums
  8. I would never expect that growl coming from that car. They wont see ya coming and wont know what hit them. Sounds Good!
  9. I think I made out good. I hope Clarkspeed feels the same. At least my wife was pleased. I sent you a mail about some pieces I am looking at. Want your opinion.
  10. I will replace the fuel line. The brake lines are in good condition. they are race proven. The JTR manual mentions relocating these due to the heat from the V8. Does the relocation need to be done?
  11. Well CONGRATULATIONS to Clarkspeed and good luck in racing. Clarkspeed Purchased my car and I took his roller in trade. His car is very well prepped and I am very happy with the deal. Also Many thanks to Doug Carrow for coming by and helping out. MY first Question. Did everyone reroute the brake and fuel lines like in the JTR MAnual?[/img]
  12. What are/were the widest and tallest of the stock wheels with the 4x4.5 pattern? Is anyone running a 245 45 16 on a stock rim? I want to know if there is a stock 16 x 8 wheel? Thanks
  13. butlerz I am very interested in your setup. How in the world did you get the 260 to 150+. How long did it take to get to 150+ Tranny? Gearing? TIRES? I know my race prepped motor n/a at 13.5:1 did not have enough HP to get over 7900 rpm in 4th gear. So I am very interested in any secrets you could share with the rest of us. Thanks
  14. Ladies and Gentlemen I am interested in any hybrid Z's Top Speed. It can be at the drag strip or on a road course. Please list engine setup Head Block C.R. etc. Thanks
  15. AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME MORE ROAD RACERS AWESOME!!! That is great! I went to Limerock and camped in the infield as a spectator back in the early 80s. I saw Danny Ongais Driving for the Interscope Team. Road Racing tests the limit of Pilot and Machine. Well Done. What is the track length and what were your lap times?
  16. Well that is one for the record books. Glad you are Ok. I hope you didnt get any Red Krylon on that blue body work. I always inevitably mess things up when I get impatient and try to rush. Not that you were rushing. that is just one of my faults. good Luck. PS Have you ever had your car at the new Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama? since you are in Little Rock.
  17. Will the 1985 Camaro T5 bellhousing bolt to a 1970 350 SBC?
  18. Not sure what bad run out is. When I started racing this is all I could find that was affordable and configurable. They work good. I was inquiring to see if anybody had any new ideas.
  19. In the past I have run the Diamond racing wheels 16 x 10 for $125.00 each. They are light for steel wheels and also can be ordered with custom offsets. Are there any other recommendations for affordable racing wheels. I have thought about going to a 15" rim to help with half shaft geometry. Any input is appreciated.
  20. This is a novice question but could not find the answer using search. I want to convert a 76. It has the BW T5 and R200 already in it. My question is will the BW T5 that is in it now mate up with a Chevy 350? will the T5 need to be positioned further back? I have not bought a JTRManual Yet.
