  1. I'm not sure how either of those would sound. I did really like my 3" apexi n1, had a good low rumble that set off most aftermarket car alarms! The JIC Magic exhausts that I've heard sounded good, they were on 1/2JZ swapped SC300's.
  2. http://zilvia.net/f/tech-talk/124925-gt2871-users-sr-motor.html Check out this thread in regards to SR motors. If I decide to do a SR again this will be the general build I look at.
  3. My headlight harness is dry rotted and falling apart. The previous owner pulled the fenders and left it be. The wires are workable but the connectors are toast. I'm wondering if rather then rewiring the entire car if it would be a little less painful to get the upgrade harness from MSA? Any idea's or opinions?
  4. Looks similar to my plans except I'm using a n42. In my research, I've found that a n42 is better for NA because of the none saimesed block. But to each their own. I'm not trying to do anything extreme just have a fun car to drive.
  5. Working in an uphostery shop, there are many ways to fix it. I'd just use any that work, no right or wrong. As far as a cap, there are a couple options. Dashtop makes a cap and an entire dash replacement cap in both Z styles. Either can have mixed results. I installed a cap into a 76 Merc. SL450 today and you wouldn't be able to tell the differance. I would suggest the full cover over the half, the lines blend better.
  6. Twitty, I'm in Salem and work in Columbus. It's been a little while since I've worked on a Z (had to sell mine when I moved from Hawaii) but I could give a hand. It'll be good practice while I wait for the pair of Z's I just purchased to be delivered.
  7. I wanted to run twin scroll scroll but don't want to have a custom setup made. I think with the advent of Garrett's small frame GTX turbo's Im going to run a gt(x)2871 type setup. Just need to get my hands on a fullrace tubular bottom mount with external WG...one of those hard to find, discontinued but awsome products!
  8. Was the engine running properly and putting down corret numbers prior to the JWT install? Maybe there is an underlying fault somewhere that was missed? I've done this a few times when I'm in a hurry and almost melted down a motor or two. I always check my setup before I add tuning now, its not cool when an injector didn't seat correctly/manifold is screwed and is spraying the wall or you forget about the coolant line on the back of the S13 SR...
  9. My terminology is a bit off but you'll get the point. I want to use a Peakboost manifold on an SR20 but am looking for the best response possible. Using a twinscroll turbo I could use a quick spool valve (http://www.suprastore.com/spquspva.html) but that doesnt seem productive for a car I want to road race. What I'm think of is a plate that would leave one side free and reduce the other acting like a restricter on one side, forcing more flow through the nonrestricted side. The benifits I forsee are increased spool and the cost of a little top end. With a turbo thats a little oversized (3071/76) I dont think the topend would be hurt that much. What are your thoughts? I've done a quick search but didnt find anything like it.
  10. AWW...I miss weather like that. Then again I wouldnt be able to drive any of my cars in that weather.
  11. I didnt Now I have somewhere to put my boost gauge
