In my S13 I did figure 8's until the LSD stopped "clicking" when turning. After that I drove the crap out of it, changed fluid after a bit and drove even harder. Probably not the right thing to do but it was night and day from an open diff. I was dumb then too. Personally I'd do what you're comfortable with. I think if I was to do it again I'd do the figure 8's and drive it lightly for a distance, change fluid, drive it till the next oil change and do it again just because.

Why get a twinscroll mani and a single scroll turbo? Other then the fact that the EFR's are amazing. Which manifold are you looking at? I really don't like the turbine options for those turbos. Is it to hard to ask for a T3 twinscroll and external WG

You could do a stand alone and have different maps for changing on the fly. Thats the only way I can see it. The RB runs a low compression also, you'd have pretty crappy gas milage and response from it with out the charged air. I think Power Enterprise has done a few twin charged systems for your original thought. I think the RB they did was pretty insane. I'll see if I can find the mag.

Sounds like a tuning nightmare. Turbos do have an on/off switch, it all depends on your foot.

WOW. If I wasnt in Hawaii... shoots you could easily make most of that back parting out half of them.

Has anyone ever seen one of these? Now that I've found it...I WANT IT. It still maintains the factory hood look and is functional. Click If anyone has anymore links to it post em please.

Those could get me by in the mean time. Car will be going to the body shop in a couple months, leaks like there's nothing there atm.

CassicZcars.com has some info on the VintageRubber.com stuff. I think after reading it, I'll be using it. Thank you.

Have you used the vintage rubber stuff? At that price it should be perfect! I'm sure Courtesy's stuff is NOS, no issues there. All the options

I know other weather stripping works just as well but living in Hawaii and being in the military I don't really have a lot of time for scouring the few junkyards around. I'm looking for an all in one kit and just found the Datsunrestore.com weather stripping kit. Has anyone had any experiance with them or the kit they have? I know MSA and Black Dragon's kit have there issues. Are there anyother kits that I'm missing that may be better?

For me, I want the little bit extra that can be extracted from a twinscroll turbo. I'm not against running any specific manifold as long as it's top mounted. After having a S13 with a bottom mount that kept effing up, I'm never bothering with it again. The turbo and all attached to it are much easier to get to up top. I read on the forums that some one was taking an SR'd 240z to Full Race to have a manifold modified to fit. That was five years ago though and the acount isin't active now. Alex was in on that deal though, I'll email him to see what happened with it and to see what manifold he ran.

This is what the Full Race Manifold looks like in an S13. The peak boost does look tighter to the valve cover. I wonder how the Synapse manifold would work. Just found a post saying that the Full Race touches the steering shaft. Now I'm wondering what part, if it's the wastegate that can be fixed.
-
Do it! Thats the same setup I'm considering. I don't see why it wouldn't, it fits pretty tight to the valve cover. Only thing I'm not sure of is the angle the turbo is mounted at, that can be fixed with piping or couplers though.

Thoughts on Phenolic intake manifold gasket / spacer?
emoximuu replied to 70 Cam Guy's topic in Nissan RB Forum
Phenolic spacers have been used with some success on a lot of vehicles. It's more of a tweekers toy then anything IMO. I used one on my S13 to get a hair more out of the mods that I had. Like a few have said, there is much more to be gained from other mods, a better intercooler or water/meth are more my preference. -
I hope my first instructor is that helpful! My racing career will begin after this upcoming deployment and I become the civilian track junky I want to be, lol.

Brake Nightmare (No fluid to rear brakes)
emoximuu replied to Gilli's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
Hate to bring up an old topic but it applies and is the only thread I've found similar to my issue. No rear brake pressure. I bled the MC, worked great. Started gravity bleeding the system, started with the drivers front, ok, cool. When I got to the right rear, no fluid, poo. So I began checking the various components, got pressure on the rear side of the pressure regulating valve. Attempted to check for flow after the T fitting but rounded it off and didnt want to press my luck without a hose wrench. So what/where should I do/look at next? I thought to just replace the pressure reg. and pressure diff. switch but struck out finding any new or rebuilt, is it safe to remove them? -

Fuel starvation on left hand turns - gauge close to E
emoximuu replied to NewZed's topic in Fuel Delivery
I've been looking into a surge tank myself for future plans. http://www.ratdat.com/?p=168 has a good description and how to for making your own. My plans are to use a N2 tank used for paintball. Should get a little over a liter with a 62 cu. inches tank, you could always go bigger/smaller. You can always get them really cheap on Craigslist. -

Wheel ID help please!
emoximuu replied to emoximuu's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
Hopefully someone with them can pop one off and look at the casting mark. I've only found one picture of the back of them and the resolution sucked. Edit: Just found a picture of the inside spoke, I don't think they are. I'll keep looking. Konig also has casting on the lip of the rim, mine don't have that. -
Wheel ID help please!
emoximuu replied to emoximuu's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
They are 15x7. Im sure they aren't Watanabe's, I couldn't get that lucky. They look a lot like Panasport Ultralights, but I can't find any way of verifying it logo wise. I hate when people just post pictures of the wheel faces, it doesnt help any when searching -
I've been looking for some info on these wheels. Other then being super light (compared to the 18x8 BBS CH on my Audi), I can't find any info. I'm assuming they are older, the last two owners don't know anything about them. Only thing I've found on them is a "tear drop" G. I hope someone can help.

LOL if thats a lot of rust I'd hate to see whats said about mine. It was sitting in an open air barn in Hawaii for 8 years. Lot of surface rust!
