  1. I belive that the diode should be between the Black/White and the White/Black with the cathode end on the W/B.
  2. Here's one from the Bay Area that is great to work with. http://www.vintageconnections.com/
  3. Here is a drawing of the wiring for the 260Z voltage regulator compared to the 240Z. As I see it, the connections are very simular except for the BY wire (260Z Engine Revolution sensor wire). I have not completed this connection yet, so verify the connections before you do it. The wires are not in order as they are in the plugs. Color comparision 240.260.doc 240Z Alt wiring with color.doc
  4. There are only 2 types of rear interior pieces: 240z/early 260z and late 260z/280z. The early 260z keep the same rear interior panels as the 240z until around 8/74, then there were some body modifications for the later 260z and 280z needing different pieces. The early 260z interior pieces are said to be a bit thicker then the 240z pieces.
  5. Sorry to say, but neither of those ideas will work on a 260Z. The bastard stepchild has an external shunt and the seatbelt interlock system that will not let you do it the easy way. I am still looking for a final consensus on how to do it.
  6. Steve, Have you seen the video from Jay Leno's Garage site on making double flares? I found it very informative. http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/video/video_player.shtml?vid=190260
  7. I had my downpayment in with Klearz for a set of rear amber lenses. I was looking at the back of my old lenses and noticed that a small clear lens is glued to the inside. I emailed klearz and asked if that clear piece was going to be added to theirs when they produce them. They said no. FYI
  8. I would like to add a follow up question. Can I remove the vent line that runs from the top of the expansion tank to the charcoal cannister and then use both large diameter hard lines as fuel delivery and return lines. If yes, should I just cap off the top vent line or "Y" it into another line? Do you see any problems with fuel delivery with the larger return line? Early 260z, L26, SU's with both electric and mech. fuel pumps working.
  9. Check Blue's site. Pictures and all. http://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/suspension/tokicoupgrade/tokicoinstallfront.htm
  10. Hello, Question about the 3 way brake line connector in the rear. I have read that this connector is designed to leave some back pressure on the drum brakes and that when you convert to disc that you need to alter this connector. For those that have done the rear disc conversion, have you done anything to this item? Any infomation would be great. Thanks, Skip
  11. I got a message back from Ernie today saying that Rewinds are on backorder and will ship in 6-8 weeks.
  12. Can someone help me with this offer. Ernie is asking me for "Class Run" and "Sticker Color." I have not seen the article, so can anyone help me? I searched their site but found nothing. Is there something in the article about different color stickers they have? Thank you!
  13. I just had a set of keys made at a local locksmith, based on the numbers stamped into the pass. side door lock. Early 260Z. Very easy.
