  1. i,m helping my buddy adjust his AFM, cause his car is bogging alot. i adjusted the tooth wheel inside the afm, but there's two screws located on the outside to adjust the air by pass. now there's one in the front by the cover and on the opposite side there is another screw. after i did the adjustment to the toothed wheel inside, the car is still bogging alot. right on 1st gear, if i give it gas, it will just bogg like air/fuel mixture isn't right. does the air bypass screws have something to do with this or the afm is bad. timing is set at 10 deg btdc, vac.advance line is not used. please help if anyone knows this problem.. thanks..
  2. use a small amount of brake fluid in the intake chamber (vaccum port). smokes for a while, but good results
  3. the z32 vlsd will not bolt right into your z because it's a r230. too much things to do to make it fit in your car ( custom made halfshafts and lots more) that's what i was told. better off finding a z31 vlsd....
  4. do it yourself.....less expensive
  5. i resurfaced flywheel, new pressure plate, 6 puck w/ sprung hub and ceramic buttons. it holds my close to 400hp 240zt. i've had no problems with this new clutch disc vs stock (major slippage). it's been on my car for about 8 months w/no signs of slippage, it holds all my power...
  6. ZR8ED, you cut off after 2+2's, but i guess you're saying coupes and 2+2 don't have lsd in them, right?......
  7. 87 300zx 2+2 non turbo, does this car have a lsd like the 88-89 turbos. if not what is in it. thanks for your replies....
  8. the site is... webcamshafts.com phone# 909-369-5144. they are located in riverside,CA
  9. never tried any other cam then my stock turbo cam, two guys said to me that webcams have the best turbo cams out there. they both have tried custom grind ones, comp cam, crane, isky, and schnieder. the webcam works the best for turboed z's. website..webcamshaft.com
  10. hey sleeperz, what kind of turbo are you running to get 313rwhp @ 16lb of boost?
  11. old one.... t3t4, H pattern comp. wheel in 50AR housing stock t3 exhaust wheel & housing new turbo.... t3t4, 60-1 comp. wheel in 50AR housing stage 4 exhaust wheel i did noticed the comp wheel on the new turbo is different and the exhaust wheel on the new turbo is huge compared to old one. also the exhaust hole is alot bigger too.. i dont know much about turbos, but what kind of hp differents should i expect. i was told from the seller that at 18lb boost, i sould make close to 100 more hp from my old turbo. although my old turbo pulls like an animal already....
  12. i though the gsx would pull me 2-3 cars off the line, but only 1/2 a car it pulled, 2nd gear i just spun my bfg drag radials (fishtailed), then had to straightened up my car. at this time he was about 2 1/2 cars ahead and i punched it to 3rd and pulled strong thru-out to fourth, but i wasn't able to close the gap on him, and it turned out he beat me by 4-5 cars. not bad for my 240zt. i thought yhe gsx would just smoke so bad.... after this run, a guy with honda hatchback w/ b18 motor along with a 90 supra turbo wanted to run me. as a nice guy i am i gave him a run. at the launch i pulled 1/2 a car lenght from him, 2nd gear i pulled about 2 cars lenght ahead. at the end of the 1/4, i probably beat him 4 or 5 cars lenght. anyhow, that was my encounter tonight going up againts these two cars.
  13. like i said, "i know nada about thi meg. squirt", juet want info about it. could i run 550 injectors on it and fine tune the turbo motor thru-out the tach band?
  14. bastaad525, my fuel set up consist of..... gravity feed under stock fuel tank bosch fuel pump (saab 900 turbo) chevy truck fuel filter 1/2" steel braided fuel line from tank to custom rail all AN fittings.... the pump i got flows 90psi continuosly. good for 20-22lb of boost on my t3t4. i don't want to run hore boost than that on my stock bottom end. alls said, you can pick up a pump from a sabb 900turbo pump at the junk for dirt cheap. any more questions, don't hesitate to ask me.....
  15. bastaad525, i have one on my 240zt using 35lb injectors and a aeromotive fpr, it works wonders. if you are thinking on getting one, get the 2022. how this fmu works is, it kind of shuts off the return line when under boost, and fuel has no where to go but thru the injectors. you can also adjust it so rich that your car will just bogg under boost too (real rich). i also have mines mounted by the right wheel fender wall below the strut tower. you mentioned fuel pump... well, put a fuel gauge meter on the rail and pinch the return line close and see what the pump will push out continuos. if you are 90psi pressure steadily, than your pump is good, if lower than that, you should get a better pump.
  16. autometer ultralite styles. that will use my stock wirings
  17. i know nothing about this MS unit at all, new to this product. how much better is this compared to the stock ecu and with the MS unit could i install bigger injectors, so at idle my 240zt won't be extremely rich. also can this MS unit be fine tunned thru-out the rpm range (richening or leaning). is this MS unit used with or without stock ecu (for ex.. stand alone unit)
  18. sorry i didn't mentioned that i know it's 2 5/8 for center ones and 5" for tach/speedo. i need autometer parts # to these gauges.
  19. any one know the part numbers to these gauges to fit early Z's? fuel......... temp....... oil pressure.... Autometer Gauges
  20. what type of bov are you using??? check for leaks. stock t3 or bigger turbo???
  21. try a micro tech system, you can data log vs sds
  22. you would need a stand alone computer, bigger turbo, bigger injectors,wastegate,FMIC.... i'm telling you.. its going to cost you mucho money to do it. why not get a early Z and put in a L28et motor. a bit less expensive too...
  23. my fellow z owners.... Speed is gonna cost money.. lots of it.. stock WRX sti is rated at 300hp, with that kind of power , you're looking at around 240-250hp on the ground. you can then turn up the boost and maybe get close 300hp on the ground, if stock engine will handle 5-8 more pounds of boost. you may also need to get o fmic to cool the diecharge air a lot better too. SPEED COST MONEY.....
