  3. tim, i,ve already called them up and spoke to the tech already... thanks anyways for the info. aaron, thanks for the part# and the tech said he could make some for me for $460 (pistons), $75 (rings), $50 (wrist pins)...but i'm thinking going 87mm bore instead of stock (86mm)... so are the ones you got look exactly like stocks or a tab difference? compression wise?
  4. a week or two ago someone post a thread on purchasing some ross forge pistons from summit racing and he sent them one of the oem turbo ones, so they could make it for him.... i think he paid like 450-500 for the pistons.. i couldn't find the thread again.. please help if someone knows about the thread or is there a part# for the ross pistons.. thru summit.
  5. bastaad525, what model did you get., 2022 or 2025???? i believe the 2025 is for na cars turned to turbo and 2022 is for oem turbo cars, right? your car has the turbo block/head/injectors, right? if you bought the 2025, you'ld want to take out the spring on top of the fmu where the allen screw and lock nut is. don't use the spring. if you got the 2022 , it shouldn't come with it. the 2025 fmu came with this because it's for na cars turned to turbo cars. it's to add fuel b4 boost. .. i got the 2025 fmu and had to take out the spring on it after speeking to bell corkey (owner of bell tech). and i also don't use the restrictor on the signal line. with fmu leaned out all the way w/ 35lb injectors, 31psi on fpr at idle, at fullboost i get 70 psi fuel pressure. if you z was bogging under boost, you were probably to rich. turn the adj knob all the way out and if you got the 2025 fmu, take out the spring or loosened the lock nut and back out the allen screw almost all the way out, then tightened up the locknut.

  7. bastaad525, i've been using the fmu for couple of years and running 35lb injectors on it., t3t04e turbo, fmic, 79 ecu & harness, aeromotive adjustable fpr..... at idle my pressure is 31 psi and w/ fmu leaned out all the way, at wot full boost 15 psi the fuel press at 70 psi...... 3 turns in w/ race gas is good for 18 psi. you'll never hear your car detonate... ake me more if you need more info.....
  8. get a msd 6 and regap to 35. you would have no more problems.
  9. he didn't have traction so we did a roll on in 1st at 15mph. he was running 9 psi and i was running 12 psi. good race although victory was mine, beat him about 3 car lenght. before that he did a roll on with a 350z w/ intake & exhaust and beat the z about a car.
  10. funny, because i raced againts a new 350z on friday night . my buddy told me to give it 3 car lenghts ahead of me, i agreed. we took off, 2nd gear i was pulling up close o him, 3rd i was up with him passing him and start of fourth gear i just passed him . beat him about 2-3 car lenght on the 1/4 mi mark on the pavement. he was very amazed about how fast my 240zt was, i just said, thanks but it's not that fast .

  12. i'm helping my buddy convert his 74 260 to a zx distributor with 12-80e one. need to know where all the wiring goes. if anyone has done this conversion, please help a Z'er in need of expertise. thanks.....
  13. which one would you use??? for all around driving and sometimes off to the drag strips. 280-350 rwhp. plus tell me why you would use that one vs the other........
  14. i,ve got a 72 240z....the problem is my low beam headlight don't work. i've checked fuse, steering colume switch, bulbs. the hi beam works fine, but only low beam dosen't work. is there a relay that i need to check or what else do i need to look at???

  16. jmortensen, would the seals off a 95 stang V6 do???? i just went to the autopart store and saw some and it is a hair shorter than stock ones.but it looks like it will fit.
  17. today at about 9:30 am i saw a black z w/ rear deck spoiler and i think some flair kit on.... it was on Hanford Armona Rd in Lemoore. anyone on this site own that z......
  18. anyone know how can the valve seal pop out of it's place???? now it's just riding on the valve stem and not where it's supposed to be, down at the bottom of the valve spring.

  20. summitracing carries it for only $30... real cheap. don't buy the one with the pull cable in cabin, it dosen't seal good. get the 3 winged nut one you take off yourself. and run it after the DP.
  21. 510six said for a first timer at the track i did very good!!!! 1st run: R/T- .643 60'- 2.261 330- 5.591 1/8- 8.644 mph- 90.29 1000- 10.950 1/4- 12.931 mph- 108.12 2nd Run: r/t- .212 60'-1.744 330- 5.580 1/8- 8.579 mph- 82.72 1000- 11.188 1/4- 13.4 mph- 95.67 on the second run at about the 1/8 mile i backed off the throttle because my car didn't sound right. as you all can see for a 1st timer at the dragstrip, my very 1st run was satisfying.
