Thanks very much to those of you who chose to give me your .02 (for Tim, it is comparatively .75)! I realized after I sent the post that I made a big faux pas in such a question on a board that's focus is MODIFYING, so...dumb question. I still appreciate a different (or similar) perspective. I have the attention to detail to do a near-concours restoration; but, like you gentlemen I have a to exercise my individuality. And, ther's no replacement for displacement Gotta have GO!!
The reality is that I likely could not have as much fun in a plain, albeit rare, '70 240Z. I have modded my last few 240s, and this time should go all the way with the V8 conversion. I may never get my 'investment' back; but, I'd also be foolish to think of any car project as an 'investment'. Its a labor of love, right.....can I get a "Hell yeah"?!
