I am currently working on my 240z and have found a shop that does excellent aluminum work and is going to take my old panels and make aluminum panels in their place, all stock mounting etc. if anyone would also be interested please let me know, I will be able to post pictures of the panels in a few when they are complete.

    New Back Glass

Has anyone found any new sources for the 240z, 260z, 280z back glasses? I know they have been unavailable however, since I work at a glass shop and have spoken with a company that can make me a run of them, I wanted to gauge some interest for them, and if I have enough then I can order a run of 30.
  4. I have one in north county san diego, pm me
  5. In my opinion it would be better to spot prime and fix the small areas now, so they don't spread, and then do the whole thing at once. I had the same problem on a car I just finished and the whole thing at once was more economical way to do it. This way you are paying the have the car primed once, and you are fixing the small stuff and letting the body shop do what they are best at. If you are a year out at most, then just wait, really how much worst can it get in one year if you stay on the small stuff?
  6. That dash looks pretty good, I looked at a few dashes that the place I went to, had already finished. The top edge would be rolled and would have curved edges on the bottom as well. I am going to try and get something that I can put my stock console up to. I have already discussed a glove box with a push button latch on it. The idea is to go lighter but keep some of the older dash structure and feel. I have even thought about putting suede or some other dash material on top to not get the glare and more of a "normal car" look.
  7. Could be a few things, 1. Master cylinder, could be bad, the rubber seal inside the master cylinder could be bad. This is the problem for the pedal feel 2. the brakes still need to be bleed more, check all fittings,(loosen and tighten all of the points to insure that they won't seize and to make sure that they are tight and do not leak) 3. The pulling to one side is because the lines have air in one side, or that one side sticks, you did check pads for even wear right?
  8. That looks great, what style of autometer gauges gave the near stock look?
  9. I also have a set in the yard now. pm if your needing them in so cal
  10. I got one, for sale right now, pm me. I am in North County San Diego.
  11. you'll need to know what ohm range the sender you are using is, when you find that out just buy the gauge for that ohm range.
  12. Make sure you get all of those wire connectors labeled as said before, but the radio/hvac bezel should also be loosened up and slid out of the way, or disconnected from the heating ducts. You should also be aware and keep looking behind the dash, as you could break the different heating ducts that can be screwed in on one side or taped together. just my .02
  13. I have been looking for days, I need to make a decision soon, the car is in the shop getting the cage now and they need to know if they should bring the cage along the pillars or drop them short for the stock dash. I was hoping to see something other than a straight dash, small box the driver’s side only and something a little different than the one that had a 1-2 inch piece down the middle and covered black. I know there have got to be more people out there with 240z, 260z, and 280z that have converted their dashes.
  14. Or, does anyone have good links to pictues of dashes for the s30?
  15. with this new site, I think some of the pictures are missing, can you send me some pics of this dash?
  16. I have searched the forums, but am having a hard time finding what im looking for, I am trying to see what other people have for Aluminum Dashes, I am currently putting the 10 pt in my car and think that I am going to sell me perfect dash to put in an aluminum dash. I just need pictures to make sure this is what I want and how it would look the best in my car. I think I should also see center consoles as well. Background: I want to use the stock steering if poss, I have already parted with heating/cooling This will have an ls2/t56 swap I will go with after market gauges Any help is great,
  17. Hey everyone, I now am working at Auto Glass place in sales. I was unsure about my install as well, when i was doing it myself. 20. I have seen a few posts but am somewhat confused, I want to swap a stronger rear end in my 73 240z, I see that the Q45 can be swapped in. I wanted to know more about the brake options, rear end options, hubs, and years for donor car etc... Please advise. This could be a great Stickie goto for the q45 swap...
