  1. Well it looks like my motor came with a automatic transmission and the ECU im running is from a 5 speed manual motor. Is this an issue? or are the Ecu's interchangeable?
  2. UPDATE: Well I got the new cable and it won't read the Ecu # now! New cable or old, I think its time to throw my Z off a cliff! Maybe I got a wrong ECU? or bad one?
  3. Yes i was running Auto ECU with a 5 speed.
  4. I just plugged mine but yeah I think it goes into the charge pipe.
  5. Idle don not adj in the computer use the IAC adj screw to do it..... Yes I know you adjust the idle with the AAC valve, my ECU doesn't have a idle screw. Check O2 sensor make sure it's working correctly Yeah I have to check the O2. But the ECU didnt throw a O2 code so I aint sure. Many of the wiring companies DO NOT hook up the consult wiring....You may need to wire in the plug. JDM cars are not OBD 1 or 2 only consult port.. Yes I know, thats why I hacked my consult cable and wired it straight to the TX RX clock wires.
  6. Ok so I tried to do some more trouble shooting and this is what I found out. 1. I applied 10 psi of pressure to the intake manifold, the intake doesn't hold pressure, it slowly leaks it out through the throttle body. Is this normal or should that have to be air tight? 2. I checked the resistance of the AAC valve and I get 0.0 Ω the FSM says 9~10 Ω so im thinking thats my problem. Other than that I ran out of ideas. As for the NDS still freezes up after start up, I tried it on my desktop and everything was identical as my laptop. Anyone know where to buy a new AAC valve?
  7. lol I missed that, you should of PM me Nismoparts.com is the source.
  8. I haven't checked the O2, ill do a test on it tomorrow. Thanks edit: wouldn't the ECU drop a code for the O2 if it was bad though?
  9. I am at work right now, but when I tried to connect when the car is running windows wont recognize the device. I don't think its the software, i look at device manager and the com port will dissapear.
  10. With key on i can see all the guages, water temp, tps voltage, timing everything works fine.
  11. nope series 2 motor, no screw, no led light. only way to make it go to test mode is shorting ign and some other wire.
  12. I just hooked it up straight to bat, when I crank the voltage drops below 12v is that the prob? still freezes.???
  13. It's the blatz odb1 consult cable, i had to hack the plug because i have no odb1 plug on my harness.
  14. Works fine but once i crank it and start the car it freezes. I have no idea how to find a short..
  15. I installed it on XP home and I have the same problem. "One of the usb devices has malfunction" "USB device not redognized"
  16. yeah it does but once i start it the comp wont recognize the usb wire freezing the software. i got vista ultimate.
  17. I got it to work but once i start the car the program freezes, I also figured out that the Variable timing valve next to cylinder 1 is the one that keeps clicking really loud.
  18. I checked all my grounds everything looks good. When injectors go bad do they click? After warm up it clicks randomly also when I rev, i'm thinking injectors next.
  19. I just finished cleaning up the oxidized head and painted it with engine paint to prevent grouding on coils. Now im only getting 14 v to power my coils and I now get CODE 21 on ecu. I am lost....
  20. Ok so I put in a adjustable FPR last night, the fuel pressure is steady at 42psi. I also did the ecu diagnose, shorting (IGN)with(CHK) to pull the codes, the only code I got was 54 A/T transmission code. I am stumped, next thing to do I guess is eliminate the intercooler BOV and put a straight pipe, hopefully I have a leak somewhere.
  21. Thanks ill check it out. I also checked the coil power and im getting 14.7 volts in the white main coil power wire so im getting enough power.
