  1. question to anybody who has done or knows about it:when welding in new framerails from the firewall back;where should i support the chassis?should i remove anything other than the engine&inteior?
  2. hello to everyone out there.its been a while sinced i posed a question cause(i hate to say this)but i lost intrerest in my conversion due to time and money but i am fixed!)but anyway,i thought i would think up something to keep my mind on the project again. what kind of setup is best for traction on the independent suspension?can i do anything to the frame?i would think that with a rigid frame the tires would spin and the flexing would help a little.has anyone experienced this?any wheel and tire combo work best?i dont want fender flares(no ofense to anyone using them!)any gears?

  5. as i was surfing the web today i ran into this site www.bomgarden.com/350zxnew/ it is the first z31 conversion i have ever seen and i wanted to share it with my fellow hybridzers.i wish everyone happy holidays and happy new year juan
  6. for those of you guys who put a rollcage in your z's.how did the welding process go?was the welding done inside the car or was it welded in sections then put in the car? what was the hardest part of the installation?can the seats be reclined?anybody have any pics of full cage?

  13. i dont really have a running 6 cylinder car.i have a 75 280 that was intended for a v8 conversion.i now cancelled that idea in order to buy a 260 from a friend of mine.the car has a big cam,long tube headers,and a 3inch exhaust with a stock muffler.it has the tripple webbers and msd on it.the car has a wide body kit on it which i have never seen before,and a gnose up frontand whale tail.my plans for that car is to put new frame rails in it and MAYBE a smallblock..maybe(the six was rated around 320hp)

  15. i see that some people go with the wilwood calipers and 11.5 inch rotors.is there a kit to mount them in the z?if not how would i mount them and who would sell an adapter?someone please help thanz,juan

  19. hey guys i was just wondering what kind of exhaust systems are under your cars or are planning to use.i read that some of you guys are using flowmaster 2 chambers!thats gotta sound pretty darn cool!but if your driving it everyday i think that most people would get tired of it.has anyone tried the shorter borla xr1 mufflers?or ny other type?a little while ago i visited Matt Millen and he is running the borla turbo mufflers.they were nice.they were pretty mellow at idle but it let you know he meant bussiness when he steped on the gas.any i deas on x,y,or h pipes?
  20. i would like to thank everyone that answered to my question.im glad that i found people that have tried it already.i will look into the roadster headers but after reading speedracer's reply i wont really dwell on this as much.thanks again for all the info
  21. does anyone know if the hooker conversion headers fit the jtr kit?or can the hooker kit allow you to set the engine in the set back position? a few weeks ago i saw a 280z with the hooker conversion and he said that he could move the engine all the way to the firewall.i looked under the car and the headers didnt hang down too low and he also said that one of the pipes split so that you could have clearance with the steering shaft during the installation.can any one clarify this or has tried this at all?
