  2. what condition is it in?does it come with the valves?? i will also need the rockers since i'm going from a p90a head
  3. are there any other turbo heads that i can run on a stock turbo engine? i pulled mine apart and it was cracked in four places. and more lifters were collapsed.its a p90a head. im going to the junkyard to look for another head.i would prefer a solid adjustable head.any i deas? how many gaskets? my engine had 5 gaskets on them and there were two cylinders that were siamesed through the head gasket.if no other head is recomended.does anyone have one in good condition?

  8. i agree!! i turned 20 last month and have the 74 with a turbo engine.stock but quick!sqave for qqan intercooler and boost controller ect...
  9. i dont think i have explained myself correctly.first i am not running the engine.second its not a valve spring!!!! it is on the other end of the rocker that i am talking about.not the valve spring side of the rocker but the other side which would be the passenger side.like i said.i pulled the valve cover out and found the problem.im sure thatthe seat is fine.the valve springs all look the same height.again it is the other side of the rocker were it mounts or sits on not the valve side.i just wanted to know what could have caused it and if anyone can else have experienced this.
  10. yup.correct me on the proper name for the part.
  11. no its a tappet or whatever its called.the valve is on the opposite end of the rocker.the valve seems to be working fine.i pulled the valve cover and turned the engine over.like i said it is just sunk down more than the others and it clatters
  12. i heard a loud clanking under the valve cover last night. when i looked at it this morning one of the tappets was sunk down further than all of the others. so i pulled i off in 2 pieces and a spring and didnt see anything wrong. i put it back together and it still collapsed. is it a bad spring? do i replace the whole thing?the head lookks pretty fresh and so does the timing chain and tensioners.how do i fix this?

  15. just curious on how quick a stock lt1 or ls1 make an early 240 or 260z. right now i am running the tubo engine which is faster than any honda around here but i want more.i just dont get the wow factor when i pop the hood! i have a good source for a used lt1 and ls1 and wonder just how well it will perform.i know that the ls1 has around 300-320hp and that the z is a light car but i was wondering numbers in the quarter. i also have a 327 with a steel crank and a set of nicely ported 461's.any suggestionds? its been eating at my head since my original plan was a v8 from the beggining.how much power can that lil 327 make?

  18. will it be safe to cut out one frame rail at a time with the engine still in the car? would this twist the car all funny?? i would probably have to drop the tranny tho.the reason why i ask is because the passenger side rail has already been cut off from the front of the passenger seat back.why not cut the rest and weld one in? and should i leave the car on its wheels(on blocks)or should i support it some where else.once i get that squared away i need to do the floorboards.

  21. man that sounds like alot of fabbing.i think it would be easier to go with the sds with the coil packs.cant upgrade now due to funds but its good info. btw just got back from driving my z.man i love this car!! the car is a 260 with stock turbo engine. has more boost and need to identify turbo.will pull it off!!
  22. what is the JWT upgrade?? i see it alot and dont know what it is.it seems like the hybrid and the t60 turbos are the better swaps
