Sounds like somebody spends too much time dwelling on the past. Did she ask you how many girlfriend's you've had? Was it too many?
-
thanks mike. i'm actually trying to figure out how much fabbing would be involved to get this combo into my '67 spitfire.

I need to know the distance between the motor mounts and the rear tranny mount (bolted to eachother, on center), as well as the distance from the tranny mount to the center of the shifter. Thanks for your help.

...Datsun started out borrowing mechanical design from British auto makers.......[url']http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/larryjohnson97438/detail?.dir=392a&.dnm=f8fe.jpg&.src=ph[/url]
It is my understanding that the Z car shares the geomtery the triumph spitfire.
-
Also, i think that triumph spitfires are cheap cars, as long as you have decent fabrication skills and the know how. I'm very close to finishing a toyota 3tc motor swap into my 78. The most expensive part so far has been the engine rebuild, which came in at $1000. I've got about $3k into the car including suspension, paint, mostly new interior, and engine + trans, and this thing is going to run like a raped ape.

The Cressida has the 7m motor, and they pull pretty good too. The only issue is that they're really hard to find with a 5 speed stock. Anyhow, a buddy of mine is doing a 1jz swap into his, should be fun.

mike, do the wheels look like this?
-
I'm going apeshit trying to find bbs wheel centers for 3 piece wheels, in 5x130 bolt pattern (porsche 928). Does anybody know where i can buy just the centers at a reasonable price?
Thanks

I just watched both of these clips at work...my coworkers must think i'm a retard for laughing so hard at my computer. if they only knew.
American Dad is good, but it seems to be lacking something that i can't figure out. some episodes are a lot funnier than others.
Here's the Petarded episode, the fire truck special is a couple minutes into it.

tough choice...they're probably equal eachother as far as high maintenance goes.

Terry - Do you still have the seat? If so, are you looking to get rid of it?
-
I think i might go for the kirkey, as they seem a little more cost effective and comfortable from what i've heard.
Preith - Does the seat get uncomfortable on longer distances? Do you know about how much thr seat weighs?
Terry - Did you have the road race seat?
-
For my project triumph spitfire, i'm looking for a driver's seat. I've been looking at the Kirkey Intermediate Road Race Seat and the Ultra Shield Pro or Deluxe road race seats. Has anybody has any experience with these? This car is not going to be a daily driver, more for track events and flogging the backroads somewhere. Any help would be appreciated.

maybe this has been mentioned before too....
it was for sale last month i think on ebay, and a couple months before on craiglsist.

Exactly what i was looking for, thanks.

Is there a formula to determine the necesaary free length of the springs when simultaneously lowering your car and increasing stiffness?
I'm sure there's one out there, but i just havent found it and i hate math.
Thanks.

Is a triple mikuni 40 setup including k&n's and linkage/cannon manifold for $500 worth it?
-
That car looks like sex! good sex too. Seems like a reasonable price, if i only had the money.
to buy or not to buy? 1998 ls1
in Gen III & IV Chevy V8Z Tech Board

I found an ls1 for $2,000, includes everything`(harness, ecu, manifolds, etc) except the throttle body and accessories (dont care about those anyway...) with roughly 50,000 miles on it. the guy said the car was hit in the front and the radiator shorted out the battery. if i bring my own battery, should i be able to start the car? is $2k worth it for a reasonably low mileage engine?
