  1. That is a solid deal but, im really looking for 17 x 9 in the front, thanks anyway and glws
  2. RB 17x9, 17x9.5 The ones from the Group Buy section, wondering if anyone has decided not to use or changed rims since they're purchase. Thanks
  3. The Mitsubishi Evo has a motor similar to the 4g63, but not the same, there more of a mirror of one another. Evo motors can hold a sizeable amount of more power compared to the 4g63, although 500 hp on a stock block is quite remarkable and they must have some damn good tuning (or they never get on it haha) I think the 4g63 motor will be good for 300-350whp stock bottom end, after that your going to start pushing it. All he has to worry about is transmission fitment etc, because all DSM cars were AWD or FWD.
  4. Although a decent motor, 4g63's are far from bullet proof, I know this first hand becuase my best friend had a DSM for years. They are notorious for crank walk, eating oil and a handful of other headaches. I dont think it would apply to our friend here, but I know they have huge tranny issues as well. Its a good motor if you dont plan on putting a big big turbo on it, unless you plan on spending a ton of more money. I'd do all your research first and make sure its worth it.
  5. I just bought a donor car and am looking for a place to take it apart, my roommate initially said i could bring it to his parents house in somers near our apt, but hes being a bit hesitant now and is stringing me a long, im also talking to another friend in rockland but he has to talk to his dad and hasnt gotten me a final answer yet. I was just wondering if anyone had the driveway space for a couple weeks till it gets a shade warmer out, or even the garage space for one weekend of tear down. Thanks in advance guys!
  6. Would that work on my setup though? I'm not very megasquirt savvy yet, if it does work, i will def buy it
  7. I have Flares Jeff, haha, full CF set
  8. I have a 73 240z and am putting an le28t in it, need megasquirt for my tuning, if anyone has one all setup for this swap, please let me know
  9. Just got a 280zx donor car, should be at my place in a few days to a week, ill let you know how the fender looks
  10. For a little extra or around that price, you could get a full salvage car, that still starts up etc, that way you can verify the mileage, the fact it starts, and have a ton of stuff to sell to get your money back on.
  11. Doing the same exact thing, minus the loans, i dont have to pay those for another year
  12. I agree, big turbos always leave you with empty pockets and unfulfilled expectations Either way, thank you for your .02 and I guess I have a little time before deciding what I really do. Im hoping the part out of the 280zx goes well!
  13. i have around 2800**** right now to play with, but i would liek to make that stretch and cover as much of the necessities to get the car running as possible, also hoping to make enough back on the 280 part out and throw in some more to cover megasquirt, should have another 1,000-1500 in a couple weeks as well
  14. I just purchased a 1981 280zx 5spd donor car for 73 240z build Clive and my friend Jeff from Dallas (who sold me the 240) are helping guide me through my build and what parts to purchase. Im looking for a quick spooling turbo to make low 300's to the wheel but have some more room for down the line when i can build the motor Any suggestions? Also, there will soon be a part out thread for the 280 i purchased, heres a few pics of it The turbo has been on it for 2 years but no miles on it. http://i790.photobucket.com/albums/yy190/PeterMartin/100_1785.jpg http://i790.photobucket.com/albums/yy190/PeterMartin/100_1786.jpg http://i790.photobucket.com/albums/yy190/PeterMartin/100_1790.jpg http://i790.photobucket.com/albums/yy190/PeterMartin/100_1791.jpg

  16. haha, when im building my car this year, ill throw some spare parts your way
  17. No one bid on that ebay nardi wheel cause im getting it!
  18. The one on Yuta's car has 6 bolts in the center area, the knock off only has 5. They are different indeed, any way of contacting the owner?
  19. http://www.aspecproducts.com/images.asp?theid=12164 I think you may be right after all...i wonder if the quality of the pic and lack of centerpic make it look that much better?
  20. They look super similar but i dont think thats it, the center pieces look thinner on the nardi wheel, and i know the light can effect it, but the wood doesnt look as wide or nearly as dark. Also the spokes may or may not have more angle on the Nardi wheel, its so hard to tell! Also the spokes on the nardi wheel are totally straight, the spokes on the one i posted are angled before connecting to the wheel
