  1. haha yea i didnt think about that, thanks again for the help man.
  2. haha dang man. i cant wait to see pictures and thanks! i cant wait to get started after BC. Yea i thought you may have done that as well, i wonder was it worth all the effort customizing the sump you had or would you buy a new one if you had to do it over?
  3. any more? O.o im all excited to see the finished product or semi finished product lol nice work though
  4. Nice build! Did you have to go to a rear sump for the oil pan? or did just the stock oil pan fit in? I ship out for boot in november and afterwards im looking into getting another s130 and doing pretty much everything you did to the car lol. Any pictures of during/after the build would be great!
  5. hey man i still have the shell let me know if you are needing it

  6. slow n rusty....that is gorgeous! whats it at for the whp now?
  7. I do still have the door panels $50 for both. I also have two A/C compressors with lines for $25 each. I have a stripped out dash, but won't ship it. Chris

  8. nice car! and awesome build! I cant wait to see it in the car and back on the street burning some rubber
  9. I think if you really want that feeling of being pushed back in the seat, the solution is sloppy, softly sprung suspension and a big cushy seat. I dont know about this.....my dads c5 puts me in the back of my seat no problems at all! 375torque and 310whp convertible and i am thrown in the back of my seat very easily..... A durango with the 6.0?(the one that came with the bigger engine than the 5.4) didnt put me in the back of seat like the vet did, or my buddies rx-7. I think a lot of it depends on the person as well as the gearing, its the whole "tomato, tomatO" thing.
  10. the search button on the top right helps a lot! There are pages upon pages of information answering all your questions! The number one key on this forum is to use that and sift through 12 search pages full of information =D. I know it sucks but you will find what you are looking for 85% of the time. I found this out the hard way. Most people on here do it your way , they buy the kit and drop it in or they weld there own mounting in place. This is a HYBRID website i.e any and everything goes and the guys on here (for the most part) do a fabulous job with there Z's. Go to the top of the screen click on the Gen I & II Chevy V8 Tech Board and then go through 20 pages of articles if you need to find what your looking for. Good luck with your build! and take some pictures/post them up for us!
  11. what are you going to do with your turbo engine and tranny?
  12. haha Tony I like the last part! "Have tools, will travel!"
  13. http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php?/topic/87155-please-help-me-fix-my-dash/page__p__826898__hl__dash%20repair__fromsearch__1entry826898 here you go man If you dont mind trying these techniques they are cheap and seem to work really well! Good Luck!
  14. do you live in san antoion or in universal city? cause there is a zx with an ls1 swap over here that I have heard about but have never seen it. Just curious.....also the pictures did not work.
  15. yes If memory serves me correct the suspension is the same on a 2+2 and a non.
  16. hey man i just joined this site and iam also in sa lookin for people to hang with and work on the z's with hit me back if intreasted dont know much about them but learnin as i go if this sounds good let me know

  17. that is disgusting.....makes me think of the 101 dalmations
  18. right the whole running rich problem could be due to other things but to me this was more important to look at. I have hard hoses and other things that will have to be changed but I am saving some of these because I will be doing an engine swap sometime. I will check the lines as well with the pressure gauge and yes thank you i said the wrong thing =(. I am guessing that this pump will be good for a stock turbo swap then right?
  19. I bought my car from a guy who had "fixed" a bunch of things on it already but it is runs pig rich all the time. I am a parts changer and can do basic diagnostics. First thing I did was check to see if I had an exhaust leak, I have none, second I looked under the car at the fuel pump to see if the guy changed the old one. Well he did, he put a e8312 airtex pump on it; when i looked up this pump it is for a isuzu(one of the old turbo ones) and on the fuel pump itself it says max 95psi. Should I get a fuel pressure regulator and hook it up to see if I am getting too much fuel? Then just regulate the amount of fuel? The shop I used to work at said the ecu should manually tell the car how much fuel it should be getting but I'm not so certain. Any help would be great because I am tired of smelling like gas when I get out of my baby, lol! O I drive a 79 datsun 280zx na. Thanks Jeff!
  20. This all looks like some amazing info! although I dont understand most of it.... =(
  21. hey my car just started doing this today, lol. Mine was the speedometer gauge, the little clicker or one the bearing on it is messed up....im taking it to my buddies shop tomorrow to have him look at it but i can see it moving wierd and hear the clicking coming from it. May want to check it out on yours! Ill let you know what we do to fix it.
  22. most honda guys say fully built when they have a stock crank and rods. So know offense unless I see there receipt I assume it is only 75% built and with little to no research put into the parts; honda guys see something that everyone else uses and buy it even if it sucks. Secondly, a built na honda motor can have well over 300 hp; my buddies fully built his type r na and it was over 300hp. It sounded like a bumblebee! I loved it! Killing hondas in a rwd from a dig is just not fair, they dont grip.....if they have that much hp they have to go from a 60+ roll. We have some hondas here locally that beat stis with 325whp and other really fast cars from 60+ rolls with 310-400whp.
  23. personally I would say 1750 for a Z with little to no rust and with a decent to very nice interior would be worth that amount. You can sand the car down yourself and then take it to get painted for $260 to whatever you want to spend, so the paint imo isnt a huge issue on such an old car. Any interior pics? Great find!
