The SR20DET is pretty close to 2.0 liters for real, its 1998cc. Most people look at the engine bay badge and think thats the year of the car.

I actually completed this portion of the work a few months ago. So I know exactly what you mean.

I plan to take photos every step of the way as I build the second one. I will put a page on my website about how to do it. I linked earlier in this thread to where i got the LED's from on Ebay.

Now all these pics are from different angles and distances and stuff to kinda show you how some of the light gets diffused, but you can still see the individual LED's from up close. They are very bright... I'm pretty sure they're a bit brighter than the stock taillights are. This was a bench test just to show you guys my progress. I also haven't built dividers between the light sections (main, brake, and reverse) yet. I'm divising a plan to do this right now. (you can see the light bleed over in most of the pics)

I didn't like the Porsche bumper when it was on the Porsche... so I'm biased. The Subtle Z front air dam is designed for use with the bumper installed, right? I want to go with no bumper and something that looks good without it.

Stock motor?? Holy crap! Does it hold up reliably at that power output? Does it eat gearboxes or anything?

I'm trying to get an idea of the mounting area of this part... just hoping someone has a picture of the mounting during the process, or even a picture of one sitting on the floor or something. My car is whacked down in the corner of the 1/4, and I need to repair it. At the same time, I'm thinking I'm gonna do the rear flares and complete fiberglass around the front end. (I love the Subtle Z look... nice and smooth) Also, are the Subtle Z fenders compatible with any of the fiberglass front bumpers on the market? Or is a wider one necessary?

I like it with the cowl induction hood... but I'm not a big fan of either part... they seem to go together really well. I was considering the other MSA bumper, but everyone has it... so I've been looking at other cars, trying to figure out what could be grafted on without looking like total crapola.

So where are the safest jack points? (sorry to sound like an idiot... but this is my first Z)

Zedd findings is showing new non-aftermarket rear valences on their site. I emailed them about it. Were the new one required to be rolled as well? Or only the aftermarket ones? Either way, a competent body shop will be able to do this for me. It would be nice to get the new part and have someone make it out of fiberglass for me, though... I'm sure it wouldn't save much in weight... but at least it would be easy to fill the bumper holes and modify it for whatever size muffler hole I need, etc... All of this can be done with the metal piece before it goes on the car, anyway. Thats my plan... have to shaved and ready to go on. (unless of course it needs to be rolled... wouldn't want to shave it and then roll it, everything would buckle out)

SCRE supposedly went out of business, or at least doesn't produce that kit anymore.

Damn, you guys are in hurtin shape. I got my wife some clothes, DVD's, and a new hairdryer. (a quiet one!) I still have to come up with something else... maybe a watch, because the one she wears to work looks like hell and the battery just died the other day. (nice timing)
