  2. Here are some pic's of it. I love the look, like a giant BRE was wondering where I could find one?
  3. I love it, Looks clean with that nice "fabricated" feel to it any build pics? Did you support the mid section in anyway in order to reduce flexing ?
  4. Yes Finally I'm getting rid of that huge th400 and swapping over to a T-5 Getting it complete with flywheel clutch and master/slave cylinder drive shaft (ill get that shortened to spec). I was wondering though, What mount did most of you use I have a JTR trans mount and cant figure out if I want rubber or poly? In addition Will I need to use some sort of spacer in order to keep good drive line alignment? I 've been searching and reading and I'm very excited about this I always wanted my car to be stick and now it finally will be!
  5. I wish I had a Pic of it however its used alot on V8 conversion's. The point is to keep the stock hood latching mech and leave it in the stock location creating clearance for the Dizzy. you can find it here http://www.jagsthatrun.com/Pages/Parts_DAT200.html
  6. Z2000 did you consider using the JTR hood latch kit? It may give you the clearance you need without loosing the latch.
  7. I found this http://www.oman4x4.com/hoodventinstall.htm Sadly it looks like it wont move enough air.
  8. Looks great! Any noise reduction due to the new padding?
  9. SWEEEET !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck with the swap !
  10. They look like super fat ZG flares to me similar to http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=132597 but most likely a one off.
  11. EMWHYR0HEN Is that the old levitz by the 5 in glendale?
  12. Did anybody use any kind of heat shielding on their fuel lines?
  13. Surfing around I found this Z http://speedhunters.com/archive/2008/06/17/car-feature-gt-gt-battle-s30z.aspx and its build page here. http://www.geocities.jp/kuni_s30z/index.html its pretty slick looking and has some good craftsmanship within the build.
  14. I ran my down the chassis.
  15. How did you do your mock ups? I was thinking of using PVC piping (keeping in mind the bends are not 100% accurate) to give me a mock up of my piping and allow me to adjust fitment and placement also to view possible problems before i start to weld up actual piping i'm hoping to keep costs down and make production very easy. IE pull out pvc template and then build my complete hot/cold side outside of the car and just bolt it up and in, any tips good idea or bad?
  16. May i ask what grits and btw great looking job !
  17. MobyTheVan who'd you steel your turbo from (125 wow!!) I was thinking of using a 3 inch downpipe and in the places that fitment is tight I was going to use oval tubing. TTSBC280z I know what you are saying I feel like with the money I'd spend on heads alone I could have a good turbo setup and have the potential for bigger gains.
  18. I think thats the General agreement here a single is far better then twins for many reasons. Dr Hunt are you going to intercool the new Z?
  19. This is great keep it coming ! Love the comment about using a turbo as a passing gear ! (will come in useful for me as I have a th400 and id like the ability to Cruise and daily drive) I am currently undecided about an intercooler. I've seen alot of rides @ turbomustangs and various other setups that do not run one, However I do know I can see a power gain with one. On the flip side that power comes at a price complex piping. I'd personally like to keep my setup simple but effective and judging by my power goals I'm sure I can obtain them without and intercooler. However seeing as I'm attempting to keep my motor fairly stock and running fairly low boost 6-8 lds the lower intake temps and power gain may be necessary. I have looked at the CSU has anybody tried http://www.hangar18fabrication.com/blowthru.html Anybody running oil coolers? I read things that go both ways on these. Also where did you find your pressurized oil suppply from? Im thinking about taking it off of my already complex oil pressure sensor/ dodge omni fuel cutoff sensor and just adding yet another T and sending a small line to the turbo. Has anybody come up with a better soultion?
  20. That is Insane, His setup looks kinda like what I was planning with the block huggers single turbo he went fi tho im gonna stay blow through. nice !!! Did I mention i didn't want to go to overboard with the HP I like driving in the twisty's also.
  21. Rustorbust I have the same setup as you JTR mounts and will go with a blow through setup street crusier on a 75 hopefully we can get some members to chime in here !
  22. TTSBC280Z can you post some pics? I'm hoping that turbomiester is going to post here. I searched a bit and read some "this's and that's" My big issue right now is plumbing I'm having problems visualizing it, and id rather not cut apart my car to fit the turbo(s) (no leaning the radiator forward not much fender well demolition) I'm leaning towards a decent sized single my goal is 450rwhp (i know i can make this all motor) however i do enjoy Turbo lag I really honestly do its fun to have a surge of power (obviously not to late in the rev band) turbomustangs has given me alot of information however I'd like to see more setups on Z's and some that arnt so radical. I hope also that this thread could give good advice from experienced turbo v8'z vets who have had to learn the hard way, or finished something looked at it and said "you know what would have been easier and better" because I have done that a million times. Their is just too much room in front of my motor and its begging for a turbo !
