The smiley face should have gone on! I know the painter has started to tear into the car this past weekend. Still looking for the paint code, I think because the car has not been released yet is why I can't find it. I will call a friend today at the dealer and see what he can come up with. As soon as I finish up the v8 car, I will be back on the turbo motor!

40th 370Z color it will be...just waiting to see in person at the NY auto show so I can put my eyes on it and the paint code. Mazter, hopefully we do meet this summer....we are close enough. NYZCC should be having a car show later this year. The car is now off to paint jail! Of course it left in the middle of a rain storm and at night. The painter will be back up in two weeks to pick up some other parts but I did send down a set of NOS fenders and a rear quarter that was new and install on a car before I cut it back out. Next time I will send down head light buckets, inspection lids, and NOS rocker panels. I need to order one tabco repair part for driver side quarter and a BRE front spook air dam with ducts. Still have some time to make final pick on paint color as there is lots of body work to do. As you can see, I left some notes on the car for the painter. Now with this car gone, I can help Joe finsh up his car and the blk pearl in the garage.....then I have to get EVIL Z ready for the season.

That will be perfect, huge garage with a loft on top! Just can't leave any of the cars running

Drax is right...so right now MBA it is for me. I will get a bunch of training @ work which will be good no matter where I go. Planning step 2 now and keeping in mind I don't want to be paying bills forever

Are you telling me...you can get $1000 to get s2000 seats into a s30? I am not busting balls here but what does it take to get seats in a car once you have the seats already that I am missing to get to $1000.....$100 part and $900 labor? I would expect the avg car guy to spend 5-7 hours figuring out how they want to mount the seats and get it done. Seats bolt to the stock location in the car. If you are talking about cutting out mounts and rewelding making everything custom then that is a different story....but just to get the seats in the car for a driver....can be done cheap without saftey being a concern.

Well pictures are going to help you a lot here. Your first post didn't mention coil overs and I thought I would bring it up....something you want also. 2-3 of us has been talking about your car but more info is going to be needed...plus with a tight dead line this needs to be planned out. I will wait to see what others say and some pics hit the screen. What were you driving back in 07 when we met? I didn't have a Z yet on the road. Now I have the red car below on the road. Dave does do nice work and his cars look great.

It would help to see pics and the current state of the car. You are asking for all of this to be completed by mid summer? Stock suspension or coil overs? Stock control arms? Basically you want the l28et put in and running on stock s130 harness? You also want the brakes installed and wheels of your choice? How much is the interior apart? Are you willing to spend about $50/hr? Clive

My hood is ok no issues so far, the hatch is another story. It doesn't fit fell at all and I will be getting rid of it as soon as the car comes back. I have already had the stock hatch painted and glass installed. Would I buy from them again? Nope.

I have to find a nice fixer upper with enough land for a 6 car garage.

Well the car is in the final stages of finally being able to leave for paint. Just thought I would highlight the worst of the rust on this car. I placed an order for new fenders from the dealer and have some used parts coming down from 1 tuff z. Rear hatch vents will be plugged from the inside and vents remain on the hatch. Later today plans are to finish cleaning the inside of the car out of dirt and loose crap. Also need to pull the brake booster and clutch master. A few bolts need to be drilled out of the holes where the rusted in and broke upon removal. I need to vaseline the dash Important step...I can't lose another dash! Joe! Also need to por-15 the floors and clean up some surface rust on the seat brackets. More pics to come this weekend and hopefully she is on a traler heading to paint!

Joe you are right, I would really like to buy a house. In order for me to build I have to go about an hour more north of where I am and that is too far for me. Where I live now and north Jersey where I like, homes are in the $375-$500k range with taxes $9k up to $12k. So I have time to think of what/where am I going to be. Va and Nc are not looking to bad. As far as a new DD, honestly I am thinking a 04-05 STI or newer 5 series x drive. Either car will be a car bought from the auctions and fixed.....no payments! New house....no new car....no new car or house if I can find a multo family I have been looking for. So many options lol. Not a big deal because it isn't like I have money burning a hole in my pocket anyway. 2-3 years in very doable to have your loans done. Trust me, I have a decent paying job but at the same time I didn't buy anything I didn't need. Only thing I finished up was the Z. Just set a budget for yourself and it will be done in no time. I just hated giving money away so that pushed me to get rid of it.

If plated, it was replaced at some point with OEM parts or taken off and plated. Those hinges were painted body color on the car

Thanks guys! Next move is to save/lock for a house. Not sure where yet as I believe everything in my area is over priced and taxes too high. I need space for all the Z cars and parts. Maybe I will move next door to Joe!
