I'm running a spiral flow Moroso and a thrush chambered muffler and the car is quite loud, It's not unbearable but it is a bit drony, I'm thinking about welding some resonators in the mid pipe before my y pipe tbh -

So after a whole week with no real issues, my first ( and honestly my most anticipated) gremlin reared it's head. I was sitting in traffic yesterday. ( heading with a buddy to pick up his own s30, I finally have a bro!). And I noticed my temp strarted creeping up, It usually runs around 198 or 200, and has never gone over 205, and I checked my temp on my controller and noticed that I was up at 211 and rising, it got to about 218 before I began shutting it off at stoplights to keep it from gettin worse. I snooped a bit after we got where we were goin and lo and behold, my fans weren't on. Now I get to figure out why... I hope it's just a bad relay, but somehow I doubt it... -

Fuel cell: I am personally using a 20 gallon. ( 24L x 20w x 10 H) summit foam filled cell an a walboro 255 lph or whatever pump. Running 43psi through the stock injectors(. I have been told that I should e closer to 60psi, but it runs well and I have no wot lean issues, I am running an ezefi ecu though). The setup works well, but if I were to do it again I would go with internal baffles any day of the week, The foam does an okay job, but If I'm at 1/3 tank or less and I have to brake harder than a gentle stop, I can hear the pump strain from fuel starvation, no stalls because of it though, and itgets worse on sharp declines. I'm planning on changing out the foam and adding a horseshoe shaped aluminum baffle with a hinged trapdoor around the sump when I do Radiator: I bought an eBay 3 core champion aluminum radiator for mine and it does an adequate job, the car will run 195-205 all day, (when my f**king fans work) I wish I could get it down to about 185 but I'll take what I can get. FYI I bought a setup with dual ~10 inch electric fans. I would recommend building a shroud and running hood vents.. Mounts: do you have an early or late 260? Be sure to specify for John, as the trans mount is different, My best tip for that one If you have a 240 is bolt it up so the mount is as far forward on the trans as possible( both the mount and bracket have or holes drilled on extremes so you vary where it goes, however the mount is right in the necked down area of the tunnel, so it's much too wide of you put it on too far back, I had to give mine a few smacks with a 5lb sledge to clearance the trans tunnel for it... And don't forget to dent your trans tunnel for te reverse lockout like I did For the master, I'm using a short tilton 3/4 and it works very well, then again I have a very modified pedal setup, and I have heard that te 15/16 or even the 1" stock replacements work very well -

hehe, i couldnt resist man quite honestly i would take just about any drag racers opinion over my own on the matter, as i dont do drag racing that often, but i just have heard (i believe it was on here, or on SVTperformance, my other trolling forum) about the mismatch of tires basically the large amount of lateral traction in the front, combined with the low amount of lateral traction in the rear causes the rear end to wobble all over the place -
This was posted in the GEN I/II chevy section earlier, i think it applies http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=41288 I do not claim to be an expert, but the main cause of breakage tends to be open diffs using the u joint axles (or so it seems), either the U joint snaps on hard shock loads (launch) or the spider gears grenade from RPM differentials (One wheel peel) I know a man with a welded R200 and CV's who has no issues (Heads/Cam LS1) and his only ever issue was snapping u joints before the CV swap

I find it hilarious how she giggled like a school girl when you said "im gonna go harder", it was pretty much priceless. Back on topic, ive heard horror stories of guys running Bias Slicks with radials on the front, i think an easy (but probably not cheap) fix will be to get some skinnies to compliment them. -

The deed is done, also I foud out that my fix is a ghetto version of that JTR tee, It's a plastic splice ( from any auto parts store) with a 5/16. 1/8 not fitting threaded in and some jb weld ( I know it's ghetto but I dot trust thread sealer on that thIn of plastic, or the threads for that matter) slathered over the exterior of the joint. It isn't pretty but I'm broke as **** right now and it works -

Ive got a fix for it already, i made a splice with a 1/4 fitting that im going to put into the upper radiator hose... and a 3/4 would make my problems worse (im using a 7/10 and i need to go smaller, not bigger) but thanks for the offer. -

Revekah. I had to smack my fender lip a bit on the drivers side( its got a good amount f bonding in that fender so t wouldn't roll flat) and I gave the inner fender a few love taps up above the lip where it had been rubbing, and no more rubs for me 240z7273, sorry to hear that, but you won't regret the swap A bit of an issue I uncovered after I thought I had a blown head gasket, I mistook the steam port outlet for a vacuum port and capped it, an it appears it's been spitting coolant out intermittantly( luckily I didn't clamp it, just a cap, so it didn't overheat the heads). I've been watching the temp on my diagnostic controller and it's been staying at a reasonable level. My project for tonight and tomorrow morning is to make a splice for my upper radiator hose with a fitting to run that line to, then we should be good to go Last note, it appears I goofed on my master cylinder sizing, so this things a bear to stop, luckily it does and being a big guy I can muscle through it, but that's a change for the near future... -

First longish distance drive is a success, I've got about 15 or 20 miles on her now and she's running good, Had to clearance my fenders for the lows as it rubbed like a motherfucker before I did -

Damnit, oh well. I got the better end of the deal I got the exhaust done, Took all day yesterday but it works well. I took it on it's first long distance drive, and it went from not brig able to take off easy to being within 40% of running perfectly, I'm in love with this ezefi and how it self tunes Pics Of the exhaust will come after work -

Yeah, after i talked to you last i gave up on the EDIS and swapped an OPT dizzy onto it, and when it still wouldnt run (which i found out last week, was probably because i did the firing order wrong (i know the FO, but i think i put it in assuming the dizzy turned clockwise, and i think it turns Counter clockwise >_< )) Oh well, one pull with the LS1 made me not care anymore Yeah this has been an extremely quick swap TBH, hopefully my exhaust will be going in tomorrow... -
