  1. Same problem that I overcome by logging directly onto the website rather then using a link (which should be the same thing!) but for whatever reason it works for me. Also, I don't touch the sound either--it screws up the visual. I think I'll try the full screen trick... Davy
  2. Dan, do you have side blinker lights as well? I can't remember if you shaved them or not. The reason I ask is that the TS lights look great on your car, but I'm thinking in terms of safety to have something on the side. Aux's lights are mounted on the corner and can be seen from the front and side if I remember correctly. Good thing the police in CA don't care too much about such things Davy
  3. http://www.darius240z.com/gallery.php It's Darius' car. It's modified. He posts here once in a while. Davy
  4. Aux had the right idea and did it such that it looks almost factory (same curvature using the motorcycle TS lights) and it was done on the cheap---much cheaper than MSA's TS lights anyway. I have taken a look at his work in person and I can tell you it came out great, even from way up close. If you go that route, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Davy
  5. Jaime240Z came through with flying colors for us and made the 45 mile round trip out to my place to drop off the 240Z door panels. Many thanks, Jaime! I'm trying to get them to Pete ASAP... Davy
  6. Really?!? How about Berryman's B-12 Chemtool or something like that? Are these products similar? Reason I ask is that I never have used Marvel Mystery Oil and I always thought it to be 'snake oil' since I never met anyone that used it before... Davy
  7. That is hillarious! Man, what we won't do just to "Get'r done!" Davy
  8. Red "pops." The blue is a little subdued in this shade. If it was brighter it would "pop" more to the eyes. Another good choice would be a yellow. I do think the original red was great. If you are going to display this on a large desk in a sterile (read: not busy) office environment, any color would stand out against a boring field/backround/desk. That said, it would look perfect on my desk at work! Davy
  9. Wow, miss a few days and miss a lot. Davy
  10. http://www.craigslist.org/sby/car/109657735.html Nice looking car with a set back V8. Anyone we know? The only downer is the tranny unless you want to go drag racing. Davy
  11. Jaime, thanks for donating the panels and we'll meet up at my place for Thursday. Thanks very much for donating these panels as it will go far in getting these produced. I figure he could do a run of 10 and sell them quickly. I don't know his timeframe, but I'll ask him about it when I see him next. Again, many thanks! Davy
  12. I personally like the look of spatter paint/trunk paint. It is available through Eastwood in cans no less. A really clean engine just stands out in a bay painted with spatter paint or Zolotone. Davy
  13. Pull everything good and sell what you don't use on ebay. Seriously, that is the best advice...that is, if you can store it all in the meantime. I have no idea if the gas tank will fit, but the system is FI and if you can swap over as much as possible, you'll be doing yourself a favor. Davy
  14. Hey Speedracer, I was looking for where to vote--is it where it says "I like it." etc, or some other place. Didn't seem like there was a formal voting link. Davy
  15. Wow, baby got back! Rick, the progress on your car is looking good! The CCWs will be the crowning touch. I think Jaime240Z has some pics in his album he posted a few days ago of his black center CCWs---wide too! How wide will you go? 17" x 10"? Just curious. Davy
  16. Wow, the video is nearly a FAQ in itself--thanks!! Looks so good in white too Davy
  17. Those Aston Martins are just sick expesnsive cars, but man, they look sweet as can be. I love to see them in the Bay Area traffic once in a while. At first I think it's a Jaguar and then, bang, it hits me: this is no Jag! Cool story and I would expect nothing less from and LS1 powered Z car... Davy
  18. Wow, there is a lot more 280Z interest then I had previously thought there would be---that's good. The 280Z panels will be fabbed up a bit after the 240Z panels are. Traub, the speakers I think will be standard(?) 6.5" round and 1" tweeters. Jaime, the 510 door pic doesn't have the holes for the window crank or door latch in it yet, but the speaker provisions are there because they are molded to begin with. I'm everything will be functional---if I get different info, I'll let everyone know. Glad to hear there is a good amount of interest for these. I must find out what the deal is with the 280Z doors and why there are two different latching mechanisms. I'll have to get away to a junkyard soon. Once these get underway, we'll see about 280ZX door panels, but that's in the future for sure...first things first... Davy
