Yeah, thats what they use in MegaSquirt if you have low impendance injectors. They recieve full juice then its switched on and off very rapidly. Can you make something like that with a knob for an OE dimmer? I was also thinking of white face gauges with LEDs (orange to keep it kinda stock) but I was wondering about the dimmer and diffusers. If its the stock ECU its not supposed to run because it creates a leak of unmetered air. If you have an aftermarket EFI you should be ok. Mario

I don't think you need adapters, and I also haven't seen pics of a ZX with Panasports or Konig Rewinds. I have seen them with Honda adapters and 17 in rims and I thought they looked very nice. Cardomain has pics of ZXs with honda wheels. I think they just fit the car better IMHO Mario

No 280ZX ever came with a potentiometer type TPS. I think the mid/late 80's 300zx's got it though. Still, just pop-off the cover and see if it has a potentiometer or a bearing with a contact to each side of it. Mario

Maybe you have the TPS hooked up wrong, or not adjusted, or maybe they gave you a pontentiometer type other then a switch type... Mario

4 Pin HEI controls dwell, 8 Pin module doesn't. If he uses the 8 Pin to fire the coil, then he needs MSnS-E to control the dwell (something that is still experimental). Mario (It idles, I hope to drive it around this weekend)

Is this right? IT IS COMPLETLY WRONG AND IT WILL BLOW Q5 AND D9 I forgot to draw the condensor which is hooked up to the coil + I have no spark, and in the original setup, the coil got 12v from the EFI relay, but it is not the case with this setup... Should I just put 12v to the coil +? I have gotten a spark twice, but thats about it. Thanks in advance, Mario

Repaired the diode, finished the two connections and it hasn't blown yet. (But it won't start) I have loaded MSnS-Extra (can't find MSnS) and I set it up. It connects and interfaces with the computer. Everything is now set up except for the fuel pump. I put it on the wrong cable on the original harness, so the fuel pump relay is not getting power. (Easy fix) I get everything except the coolant temp sensor (It is dead I found out, if I short it MS displays temp, so it is a bad sensor) in the MegaTune display. I get vacuum, rpms, pulse width, and spark when cranking. I think I flooded the engine (I get a fuel smell, I think the fuel injectors are firing, I will check tomorrow) Why won't it start? Because I got rid of all the TB air bypass and wasn't opening the TB (do'h) Hopefully it will start tomorrow, now that I think I know whats wrong with it Thanks, Mario

I assembled mine without the stimulator, I took it to 1 Fast Z's house and tested it on his. Everything worked and we even fired up his engine with it. Today I grabbed my MS box and heard something rattle inside. Diode D9 blew up. This is the output section right? The night before I had plugged it into the harness and had it communicating with Megatune, but I had not grounded the TPS or the IAT sensor. Could that have done it? I plan on running MSnS, and I have wired it as per this: Taken from Moby's sticky I need ideas, please help. Mario
