Hello, We have a new/old Chump Car that we've got almost ready. In testing last week at Homestead Motor Speedway, we found the engine would stall because of fuel pressure or lack thereof, in left hand turns. My track fix was to pour more fuel in it. It would run normally with 16 gallons in it, but after 5-10 laps the problem would reoccur. The track runs counter clockwise so this is quite a problem. Essentially, we are able to use about 3 gallons of fuel if we're filled up. We have an SU Carb set up with a 1978 fuel tank, running the return system for the fuel to return to the tank. We w

Hi all, been really working hard on my Z and want to remove the stock return and fuel lines for my stroker/mikuni setup. I haven't been able to find any information on the right way to go about doing this and was hoping for some recommendations for someone who's done it before. Thanks for your help. Chris

I have been experiencing a problem with my fuel pump running. I put in a Nistune type 1 board into the ecu to tune my car, got it to run, but the fuel pump would cut out after running for about 30 seconds. It would prime the rail, but there would be no more fuel after running for 30 seconds. I replaced the fuel pump with a walbro 255lph, hoping it would fix the problem. Turned the key and the pump primed the fuel rail, good sign. But it ended up doing the exact same thing as the old pump. I took a look at the relays then and replaced both of the relays, still hasn't changed a thing. The Nistun

Hello I'm pretty new to the forums, having a couple problems with my Z I just purchased a couple weeks back. the first problem seems to be transmission or clutch related- 5 speed it makes a weird noise like two metal plates scratching together intermittently in 1st through 3rd gear at low speeds it also makes a weird metallic noise sometimes when switching gears from the shifter. I'm thinking that it is possible it may be low transmission oil/fluid or something similar anybody have any ideas what this could be? the second problem just started within the last two days and

After kicking around many ideas I decided to go with an external surge tank and external pumps to feed the fuel rail of my rb25det in my 240z. I tried an intank fuel pump previously. The intank pump is the way to go for sure as long as you have adequate baffling and good general design. My problem stemmed from a poor design and using a rusty tank a buddy gave me. I started a thread on that. http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/94261-bonks-efi-fuel-tank/ I will update that thread with some lessons learned soon. Luckily I still had the original tank I pulled out of the car
