This is the Hitachi SWP123-4G A/C compressor from my 76 280z. Wondering if anyone has one they aren't using after a conversion, or even one that is seized. All I need is the back cover plate as mine has a hairline fracture that leaks under pressure. Thanks.

I spent several days researching ways to improve the air output on my 76 280z and wasn't able to find a really nice walk through, so I thought I'd share what I did. It looks like most of the people who put 1988-1991 Honda Civic blowers in their Z weren't able to feel a big difference. I noticed some people also suggesting using 1993-2004 Kia Sportage blowers. So, off to my junk yard I went. I found both a Civic and Sportage blower. Hello everyone. I've tried doing a search, but couldn't get anything. My 75 280z idles at about 1300rpms with constant misfiring throwing it up or down 200rpms. Not sure if those two are related. My concern here is the high idle though for the moment. All vacuum lines are less than a month old. My A/C & heat was removed by PO due to "electrical issues. Blowing fuses." My temperature switch (heard this could be an issue) does not function properly. When I connect it, she idles really high then dies. My AFM is new and was tampered with by PO, but I have it set at the optimal setting I think.

Hi, my '75 280z makes a horrible squealing sound whenever you engage the A/C. If you set the climate control to vent or any other setting the noise doesn't happen, only when its on A/C with the fan on. I heard it could be the belt so I sprayed a generous amount of water on the pulleys and belt and the sound persisted. The noise gets louder and changes pitch when I press on the gas. If I get out and look at the belt when the A/C is engaged I can see the belt slow down/catch on something. I've driven it with the A/C on for a few minutes to see if it would ever stop but it hasn't.
