DeLorean
My wheels come in today, I've got my tires. I'll try to get them mounted today if possible after work.
503Alex
Ordered them last night, and they'll show up tomorrow. Going to get them mounted when I get back in the country on the 16th. Super excited to see how they look with my new Megans!

DeLorean
Almost didn't think the wheels were going to come in today, but they showed up at the last minute. They look really nice in person, yhlz you were totally right, photos do nothing for these wheels. It's possible the tires will be mounted tomorrow, but there is no rush as I won't have my car for another 2 weeks...
503Alex
Your car is gonna be the shiz-nits when you slam it on these Grid Vs. can't wait to see your setup. Thanks man! I'm excited, I still have to install the rear coilovers, and get the tires mounted and I'll post pics. The pics I sent over were with the stock setup (ridiculous wheel gap with my current wheel/tire setup). How did the stock studs work out with these wheels? Is there decent engagement? yhlz
There wont be any problems with the stock studs. It should work out fine.
503Alex
Great, I didn't want to do the ARP install immediately so that's good news.
DeLorean
I finally got my tires mounted, though they are still some time away from being put on the car. My tire size is 225/50.
turbeau
I can't wait man, get those on the car so we can see! Good looking wheel In your estimation what would a 225 do on a 9 inch wheel? I see slight bulge on yours and that's 8 inch right? Maybe 9 would go just go straight up?
DeLorean
A 9" would sit pretty flush, no real stretch at all. If the group buy ever happens for these in 9", I'm going to go that route with a 225 or 215.
DeLorean
I put my Vs on, I have to say overall I'm very happy with them. I do have extended studs and at first I wasn't sure the lugs would seat, but they do. Definitely don't need them for these though. The wheel gap is a little too much for me, going to have to do something about it soon. I'll put up some photos tomorrow, I just picked the car up from major body work and it looks as good as it will probably ever. DeLorean
Alright, took a few shots at the big VW show in Ocean City MD this past weekend, I'm hoping to get some better shots when it isn't raining. I really want to drop the car another inch or so, then it would look perfect. Edited September 26, 2011 by DeLorean
yhlz
That's looking beautiful! What is it lowered on?
DeLorean
Tokico springs and struts package, but it's not low enough for me anymore. I really want to finish gathering the last few parts for my coilover swap, then it'll look better. mal_tiempo
That looks great! Here's something I always wonder: Is that your daily?
DeLorean
It was for about two years actually, the car never left me on the side of the road either. I can't daily it anymore, east coast roads are a joke, the weather sucks and I'm not a baller.
