tyler031734
What gear ratio? And are you running half shafts or CV axles? I assume half shafts. Both use companion flanges to mount up to the stub axle.

Lmk what you guys have. Located in sf bay area. Local would be awesome. What's the difference between an S-30 r-200 and an S-130 r-200 rear diff.? aren't the splines the same ? thanks. akumazedex
It should be a 3.9 with half shafts. Sorry for any confusion. In unsure of the differences between the two, just know that the 280zx na diffs have companion flanges for the half shafts versus none for cv axles on turbo models. NewZed
That's not right either. Early ZXs came with half shafts, later models came with CVs. Just ask for the part that broke, either the axle or the differential. The axles pop out and can be replaced.
akumazedex
You're telling me my 82 comes with cv's? Sorry kiddo. Anyways, still looking for r200 with companion flanges for half shafts.
NewZed
Fair enough, my mistake. Good luck with it. Edit - my mistake was in not defining early and late well enough. For anyone wondering, the 82 ZX came with CVs or u-joints as did the 83, using FSM specs. So 79 - 81 is all u-joint half-shafts for the R200, 82 and 83 can be either Cv or u-joint. For the record. roger280zx
I have some axles from an 83 if that is what you're looking for. The thread is kinda confusing.
BluDestiny
He needs an R200 that can accept pop in Half shafts, not CV shafts.
NewZed
Actually, in #6, he said he needs an R200 with companion flanges for half shafts. The only way to get the flanges for the half-shafts on the R200 is to have the stub axles. So he must mean that he wants an R200 with the stub axles. akumazedex
Yes, to clarify any confusion, I need an r200 that accepts half shafts, so it would have companion flanges as part of the diff, my car has half shafts. I need the diff.
