I've read that the stock wheel is 15". Would it make that big of a difference as far as ease of turning or am I worrying for nothing? Wedge
No power steering and wide tires will make it harder to turn yes on stock size or lets say 215 it shouldnt be a problem.
deja
I have a SBC conversion and 17x8 wheels with 225/50 tires....and I'm old, LOL. I have a Grant 14" steering wheel and the only time its an issue trying to turn it when the car is sitting still.
BluDestiny
Psh I run a 10" wheel in my ZX with no power steering, with 225's up front. No real problem but I've subconsciously learned to start creeping and turning at the same time.
SUNNY Z
13.5" wheel here. No PS, 275's all the way around, and a welded diff. My forearms were sore the first week, but now its not bad. You have to get a little western with it low speed however. MAN'S CAR
Ranger1316
Lol I'm sticking with stock 14's so I guess I'll be fine. Plus I'd rather get a new steering wheel for $70 than spend $45 or so on a cover.
Leon
There will be noticeably more effort required, but you'll get used to it. I've also learned to take my foot off the brakes when turning at a standstill...
magnum44
I have found over the years after many different steering wheels I have had in my Z's , In my opinion the 14" is the perfect size to be able to see all the gauges and still have a nice sports car feel. I have tried 13" 13.5" and they are too small and obstruct the line of site for the gauges. Go 14" and you wont regret it.....Rob
