tooquick260 Posted November 16, 2014 Author Share Posted November 16, 2014 Z is on back burner. Swapping motors in my 92 b13. Taking the sr20de out putting in the sr20ve vvl. Extra 20+ hp. Also getting the b13 ecu chipped and will be tuned for this setup. Will be removing the s4 Jim wolf cams from the de motor putting in the ve motor. Need money and time. Money more than time. I did get the motor swapped into the b13. I had John Kerr from Nismotronic flash a tune to a b13 ecu to run the sr20ve vvl motor. I was lucky enough to have somenone locally that runs this car and set up. I got a Maxima MAF installed it and uploaded his tune. He made 205hp on the dyno. This car is a blast. tooquick260 Posted May 5, 2015 Author Share Posted May 5, 2015 (edited) Its been a while for updates. Time and money as they say. first issue is that my daily driver 92 sentra se-r had an issue. Or a self inflicted issue. 5 am going to work I did not realize that they had done a lane shift in the process of widening state road 50. I dead centered a center divide curb. It hit right on the a/c compressor. Broke the ears off the compressor mounts, and split the case, leaked all the freon out. Thats not the worse. Split the passenger side motor mount. got the new mount on and now running without the a/c. So in the mean time I picked up a 94 Infinity Q45! Can you say V8 and a/c! 98blackbell Posted May 27, 2015 Share Posted May 27, 2015 I was fortunate enough to get an l28 short block from Brad up here in Savannah. Like the free stuff. the crank, rods and pistons are useable. Had to much water/rust in 5/6 cylinders. So, using those in our other block. Thats where we stand. looking at turbo's as well. May have ours updated or get something else and go external waste gate to negate the boost creep. Also may use methanol injection ontop of that to help out. 98blackbell Posted June 29, 2015 Share Posted June 29, 2015 I think the motor is back together. He used the 260 block. Used 280z dished pistons with new rings. ARP bolts for rods, main caps and head studs. Cometic 2mm head gasket. All new hardware etc. Now time to hang the motor, install the new dif.
