HarveyZ
Finally 1jz worthy. After hours of sand blasting and body work I finally have a color slapped on. The main area of rust was hiding under the battery tray. Since I plan on relocating the battery to the trunk I did away with the battery tray and wanted that area to look really good. The color is called torch red. When the sun hits it it has an orange tint to it. The rest of the car will be the same color but don't plan on starting til after my engine swap. Let me know what you guys think

HarveyZ
Yea definately a big differance. And yea, its way more work than it actually looks. Especially if you try to do it right. But was well worth all the time and effort!!! Thanks for the compliment too man, I'm so glad I finally got it done
Namor
Where did you get the firewall grommet on the passenger side from? I need something for my haltech wiring harness and I'm not having good luck finding something like that.
fhptom
Looks great. Hope you plan on redoing the front crossmember and steering rack to keep it all nice and clean.
HarveyZ
The grommet is from the trunk of a mustang foxbody. My original grommet looked terrible. And yes, all that I have left now is the small stuff (brake booster, steering rack, cross member, ect). Prolly just spray all that black

scaotty
That does look great! Thats about the color I'm going with. Viper red is what I've chosen. And I agree, it is a ton of work. I decided to weld/shave almost every seam, spot weld, and factory imperfection. Cant wait till its done Edited May 22, 2014 by scaotty
