rickyellow zee
Does anyone have a write up on how to remove rockers and hydraulic lifters for a P90A head. My lifters are ticking when the car is warmed up which means the lifters need a cleaning. The hydraulic lifters are not adjustable so no they cannot be adjusted. Thanks
NewZed
Can't be that hard. The manual says just "replace pivot". After removing the rocker arms.
Xnke
Use a 24mm socket and a breaker bar...
rickyellow zee
First i need to remove the rocker. How. Spring compressor? Details please.
NewZed
You'll need to make the tough decision of Phillips head or straight blade. It's possible though that either will work. It would really be nice if Nissan had put more detail n to their drawings.
rickyellow zee
so just press down on spring and the rocker pops off? Sounds easy enough.
Xnke
You need to download the factory service manual and obtain "How to Rebuild your Nissan OHC Engine", by Tom Monroe.
m1ghtymaxXx
The rockers can be removed by simply prying them down on the spring with a large flathead screwdriver or small prybar, then the lifters thread out easily. I took apart, and reassembled my lifters full of oil on my L28ET that I have yet to install. One of the 12 collapsed on install so I'll have to revisit it. This thread has all the information you should need: http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/50067-p90a-head-ticking-what-to-do/?hl=cleaning%20hydraulic%20lifters

Xnke
So you have both manuals, which explain this procedure very clearly with photographs and diagrams?
