73Fairlady
Did a few things over the weekend. Got the coolant overflow can mounted (super tight fit), and test fit the roll bar.
Wintergreen
Great build! That 3m undercoating looks fantastic too; almost like a wrinkle finish. What's the 3m part number for it? I'm planning on doing something similar.

73Fairlady
Got my bulkhead fittings in yesterday for the heater hoses, now just waiting on my silicone heater hose to show up to finish plumbing it. Also got my C pillar bar from T3, that and the roll bar are getting powder coated white to go against the black interior.
Exposed
silly question but how exactly is the c pillar bar connected?

Wintergreen
it is the 3M stuff, this stuff If i did it again I may use bed liner instead, I love the way this stuff looks but I don't know that it is going to be as durable as id like it to be. Hmm, that's a good point It does look great, but that'd be a shame if it didn't hold up. As far as bed line, this stuff is great. I put it in a truck bed that I mildly restored and it looked great. Similar low-glass textured finish.

73Fairlady
started working on the dash this weekend. Its in pretty bad shape, and there was a leak so the pad had to be separated from the frame so i could get all the surface rust off and paint it. I started by fiberglass reinforcing the corners of the pad where it was starting to crack, ill get all the cracks filled and the frame painted and get them back together for texture and paint. I also started working on the center console, repairing the cracks and doing a little modification to the fuse box cover.
seattlejester
Looks like a lot of progress! The bed liner stuff works pretty well, I've used it and it has held up pretty well on my car.
Kevlars30z
Love the build, how is the quality of those seats? $699 for both seats right?
73Fairlady
Love the build, how is the quality of those seats? $699 for both seats right? seats look and feel good, solid not to much twist in the fiberglass like the knock offs. Obviously I have not got to use them yet but other wise there nice.
73Fairlady
so had a small setback over the weekend. decided I was not happy with the undercoat in the engine bay. i stripped it (other then motor/trans) and cleaned up and repainted with bed liner. looks and feels way better. I'm giving it a few days to cure then will be reassembling and finishing setting suspension this week.
Kevlars30z
Really digging the seats. I'm actually in the process of doing my engine bay similar to yours. I have been thinking of coating mine with this http://www.eastwood.com/ew-textured-rust-encapsulator-black-aerosol-15oz.html?reltype=2&parent_id=26929 How rough is the texture of the bed liner? I don't know if you can really tell from the picture, but its pretty rough. I like it though, that was what i was going for was the wrinkle/rough finish. I'm sure the Eastwood will be better then the rustoleum, Ive always heard really good things about there products.
