Maxwell
Well, I have been a LONG time lurker on the site. Last month I finally got the car tuned. So far it’s been a blast! Take a look. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlyJ2qKiDXE The story started in 2000... I bought the car for $25.00! It needed some work... It was more work than I thought. Lots of fabrication to get it the way I wanted it. Welded seams, and deleted signals, no rear bumper, roll bar, sectioned struts, deleted the rain gutter... Added a vent So many times I could have quit. I didn't have time, I went back to school, We had a child... I did the body work and panted it myself, so it isn't perfect. in 2012, I got the 1jz VVTi I still have more to do, but It running. Moral of the story... Don't quit... dexter72
Nice going and keep the updates coming... I wanted to do my 2j swap for 11 years, but life happened. Got married, had kids, got divorced. I never gave up. Finally the time was right and i did the swap.
Zetsaz
Looks excellent. Love that you kept it I6 for the engine, and I really like the blue!

Maxwell
Sorry, no build thread... I used the R154 transmission. At first I had the stock computer and kept the boost at stock level till I worked out the bugs. Once I felt confident, I sent the turbo off to be bored out at Driftmotion, put in the cams, fuel rail with bigger injectors, and used an AEM standalone. I'm currently having some problems with the waste gate fluttering so I think I'll shim it or get a better one if I can find a place that has one... It only boosts to 13-15psi so I know it has some more power I can pull out.
