cosmo
Please move if this is not the right section for it. I was wondering if anyone had documented their A/C install as the MSA A/C kit 'manual' is a joke and useless. This is the kit I am talking about: http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/classic09b06/16-7568 Thank you!
Derek
I put a Vintage Air Gen 2 Mini in my car and love it. There have been a few install threads done on them in the Z if you do a bit of searching. Works great in Florida in August so that is saying something. Ken Smith
I'm doing the factory a/c install. I think the aftermarket may be better but I don't want to deal with retro-fit under dash when you can use what was designed to fit. cosmo
Yes good point, I honestly don't even know what brand that MSA kit is.
Tony D
You can dig up an old ARA or Frigiking installation booklet, they all are about the same thing. Whereas, with a 260/280Z, the instructions for converting from Non A/C Heater to Heater with A/C are in the appropriate section of the 260Z FSM! 7tooZ
Duane Bender at Vintage Motorworks in Kirkland, WA has installed 2 or 3 Vintage Air units in 240z' in the last year. They are stock looking in the interior with minor changes to the center dash console. If you are near Seattle he can make it work.
