Guest Look A Z
I totally agree both cars are stupid for racing like that. The sad thing is they just kept on driving on and laughing at the guy. Sigh... people these days.
Mudge
I think the guy was ok, but you could be right, maybe it was stupid to leave him there.
Guest Look A Z
I agree that the person may of been okay but! You never know, also it could of been worse the other car almost hit the integra when it spun out.
blueovalz
What did the Integra hit. Did he simply lose control after passing the limo, or did he hit something?
Sumo
I thought the Integra hit the other car beside the limo, but it seems like the other car got out of the way and the 'Teg' hit a curb or something. Anyone else have a clearer view?
Heavy Z
After slowing down the footage a few times, it looks to me like the driver reached into the back seat for his video camera when he realized the limo he was passing belonged to Eric Estrada. This gentleman was driving way to fast to be trying to film his favorite celebrity and paid the price when "Ponch", aggrivated by the flagrent disregard for California highway code - fires at least two 12 guage slugs into the Acura (note the muzzle flash as the car passes the limo). I think there is more to this story but there is nothing more I can make up at this hour.....
RPMS
I totally agree both cars are stupid for racing like that. The sad thing is they just kept on driving on and laughing at the guy. Sigh... people these days. No, no... It makes perfect sense. Think about it - when you're playing GranTurismo with your X-box and your opponent crashes, do you stop to make sure they're all right, or do you continue on their way, laughing and hooting? They're behaving as if this real-life street race is a game. I don't honestly believe that they UNDERSTAND the consequences of their actions. If someone changes into their lane when they're trying to pass at a 50 mph speed differential, they'll just hit 'Reboot' and go on their way, right? It's always worked on the video games... I'm not blaming video games for their stupidity in real life, by the way. I'm saying that these kids are having difficulty separating fantasy from reality. Mudge
Alot of people just plain have no sense of consideration for others, or if they do its often after the fact. People get shot or stabbed for looking at someone the "wrong way" nowdays, its just a bunch of BS. I think there are at least half a dozen obvious reasons for this, and I dont think it will get any better. I thought that the idiot, just hit a guard rail, but its hard for me to tell much of anything other than I see a big shot of dust. Another stupid Integra video I've seen, resulted in two deaths. White Teg in either Aussieland or Britain (thier accents), went high speed off a bit of a raise in the pavement (uphill) and came down and flipped, landed on the roof to the side of the road, dead. Guest CarGuyChuck
I'm sorry, but I'm 20, and since I've been driving I've had a 2000 Mustang, a 1990 Eagle Talon Turbo, and now, a 1979 280ZX, and I don't see how you can give us that "I can't believe these kids our the future, that's so sad" BS! I hate to rant, but ever since I've had my cars I've only had one ticket (which was crap) and it quickly went off my record. I take all of my racing to the track. Don't blame having " NO sense of reality because of video games " That Lieberman crap doesn't work. I know there are a lot of goofy kids out there who think their civics are vipers, but all of y'all who grew up as teens back in the day did the same stuff. You drag raced, ILLEGALLY, and played stupid tricks in your cars. That's the main reason a lot of cops are so cool today when they pull over kids. Because they were just like us at one point. Don't use a few bad apples to bring us down to their level, and don't use that video games excuse.. two words... ELVIS F****** PRESLEY. He, his music, and just about everyone that listened to it were blamed for everything, just like today. So unless you have a real point to make, quit acting like old stuffy bats and just enjoy life, even though a few idiots like the ones in the video make it hard sometimes... sorry to rant, but it's true. Mudge
Now your imagining that you know everyone on the site and thier life story, that itself is not true. I am 27 and screw around now and again, but I dont street race, nor do I speed on the streets. Just because we were all young once, doesn't mean we were all jackasses. Thats no better than saying all Honda drivers are ricers, or all Mustang drivers are rednecks. If you think that everyone leads an idiotic life during thier teen years, says something about yourself I imagine, maybe some of us were raised with higher standards in mind. Guest CarGuyChuck
I'm sorry man, but if you ask just about any car enthusiast on this site, around 35 and older, about his past, he is going to tell you racing stories, weather he was driving or not. That's all I ever hear from car guys. And to those that don't, that's fine, but don't insult the next generation in line just because we have things you don't understand. That's all I'm saying. And I'm gonna be polite when I ask you not to comment on how I was raised. I'm a self sustained criminal justice major with a 3.0 GPA, who has nothing on his record, and has never had anything other than one minor ticket. I don't brake rules, and I don't agree with the little punk street racer "lifestyle" that, unfortunately, a lot of people my age live by, but I also just don't appreciate hearing stuff like "My entire generation is going to ruin everything because a few people are enjoying youth, foolishly or not. Mudge
Chuck, I agree with you to some extent, as much as we would like to look back on the past and say how great things were, it is not always true. This reminds me of something I heard a liberal person calling into a radio talk show that I overheard, she was saying that violence is not part of human nature and has only recently entered into human conciousness. Frankly, that is a crock. As much as we'd like to look back and say how great things were, I am sure that cavemen just like all other animals fought, and killed each other from time to time. Things change, but at the same time they do not, history repeats itself, with a twist. But again, not everyone street races, not every asian is a ricer, not every black man is a 300 pound muscle bound criminal rapper, and not every white guy is a redneck retard. Lets be realistic, we are individuals and responsible for our own lives, and I certainly never drove like that stupid kid. I am willing to set my racer ego aside for the sake of staying alive, and keeping my car intact. If some car races past me it doesn't mean I have to chase him down like a dog who doesn't know any better, so again, lets keep it real - give some people credit. Even if someone has street raced, is it the same thing as the idiot above? Hell no.
Z-Gad
Chuck, don't take offense... If it doesn't apply to you, then don't worry about it. Everyone 18-22 years of age hears the same thing. "This generation is going to ruin..."
Mikelly
Hmm.. Interesting views here... I'm a speeder... Speed every day going to DC from Fredericksburg. I drive an average of 80-90mph on the interstate and get passed by many folks travelling even faster. I'm a father of two teens, both are into cars, and one is currently building an integra based motor to go to the track with. And last, but certainly not least, I"m 36. I don't think Kids are any worse than what we were when we were their age. Couple of problems have contributed to draw more attention to kids and speed: A: Media forms... The internet, for one has brought about more info on how people across the country and the world conduct themselves. B: Population. Years ago we used to bait the local cops to chase us out of pure boredom. Talk about stupid. What saved us was the lack of sharing the roads with other like minded 16-19 year olds. Now days there are simply too many people EVERYWHERE. You go to a resteraunt and wait in lines. Go to movies and you wait in lines. Go to any mall or shopping district and you wait in lines. All these folks you wait in lines with DRIVE everywhere and at all hours. The roads that were once country back roads are now built up with sub-divisions everywhere. With this population explosion has come less forgiving road structures and obstacles, not to mention more chance of hitting another car instead of inocently crossing the line and bringing the car back into your lane... These issues are the problem. Regardless, you KIDS are gonna get the bad rapp. Tough break, but We got it when I was your age. Welcome to the world of being accountable for the actions of others. Sux, Huh? Mike
Tim240z
Just my 2c worth: I don't think that this type of behaviour is generation based. I think that it's been going on since cars were invented. Tim
Mudge
Going back to horse and buggy days, and then the first gas powered cars, people "raced." Before that people raced on foot. But, weaving through traffic is beyond racing, that is moronic. To some extent it is societies fault, because society with parents raises kids, and so does television since its more of a babysitter than most parents are. But still there is no excuse for the way people act sometimes, you can point the finger at the TV and at the parents, but we all have freedom of choice on how we act. The only diffence now is that with modern communications/TV news/Internet, everyone hears about it. There is very little that is unique to a particular generation, some things are just plain universal!! Tim
