BIG THANKS To Ross Corrigan and Mike Gibson

Recommended Posts

Over the three year run I had with ZF Racing's On-Car Adjustable Suspension System (Dubbed Intelligent Suspension Solutions) I never had ANY bad press come back to me from them. Not once did either Ross or Mike try to horn in on my business, and to my knowledge neither of them tried to sabatoge my efforts. I was left alone and allowed to make and sell the product.

Mike Gibson and I butted heads very early on when HybridZ was formed. However, once we spoke on the phone, Mike was able to convince me that he had no bad intentions. I even bought brakes from Mike, rather than build my own kit. When we combined forces with Super Dan to form the (since closed) HybridZ store, Mike assured me repeatedly that he wouldn't delve into control arms or TC rods, and I assured him that I wouldn't put together brake packages or coilover kits. Again, we worked together to ensure that both businessed would remain viable to the Zcar community.

When time came to wrap things up and call it quits, Ross contacted me offline (and out of respect, I really do appreciate Ross doing this) and asked if he could now wade into the adjustable suspension market. Since when does a potential competitor do this??? Nowhere else have I seen such professionalism. I appreciated it beyond words.

You simply don't get this kind of cooperation in the Mini truck, truck, Jeep, and Import markets.

Next time you are in the market for something, give these two vendors a check before you go reaching for the MSA catalog. Smaller guys could certainly use your support.

Again, Thanks Ross and Mike for being ABSOLUTE PROFESSIONALS!

Mike Kelly :D

I have been here (HybridZ) for a while and just love how everybody works together. I've also wondered early on how Mike K., Ross C., and Mike G. worked together without stepping on each others toes, but I gave up trying to figure it out and just assumed that they were working together and gave each other thier own corner without blocking them off, which like said above is unheard of in business today. I give a HUGE hand to all of you for treating each other with respect :2thumbs: .

Mike K., I never purchased anything from you, but you were there to help me with questions I had about making a suspension setup like you were making, that was too cool of you. A+

Mike G., I have purchased my coilovers from and the deal was flawless and he did his best to help me out. A+

Ross C., I never bought anything from, but he went out of his way to contact me about my brake setup and what was the best thing to do, that was awsome. A+

You guys are awsome!

Does this mean we'll see Ross making your adjustable control arms soon?

Jon

Don't know if Ross is up to anything in that regard, but I have spoken to Mike about this and I have my machinist making up some.

He actually took a week off from his 'day job' to complete them (the prototypes). He is making them out of stainless and, considering is other work for me and others, they will be great. He plans to make them out of 3 different materials, so there will be three different 'stages' or $$$ values. (Stainless, steel, and chromoly). These are the rears. Once those are done, he will start on the fronts. I have also spoken to John Coffey, and I will likely ask him to 'track test' the prototypes. John you out there?

Yes :D

First off, big thanks to Mike for his kind words! Warm fuzzies all around

Yes, you'll see some adjustable Z control arms available from MML in the not too distant future. By Xmas is my goal but I'm hopeful they may be available earlier. Last spring I stepped into a time 'vaccuum' of a project (daytime work) and hence MML R&D slowed down and not as many custom setups have come out of MML as I'd have liked. Recently I engaged a Mechanical Engineer and gearhead to aid in bringing this product to market in both a safe and timely manner. I'm confident with his proven design capabilities and familiarity with production that it will be a fine product. I won't rush it to availability, I want them to be of the same quality, value, and ease of use as all other MML offerings.

It's the support from existing customers already committed to MML's upcoming suspension pieces, as well as Mike Kelly and many others that makes this happen so these fun items can come to be.

I didn't get a chance to buy control arms from Mike, but he's a good guy to deal with (Aux & sold him a sway bar :D) and I know Mike is good to dela with because he gave Aux an A arm out of the goodness of his heart!

I have not bought anything from scca, but I have bought a few things from Ross at MML and I have to say he is a great guy, straightforward, and easy to deal with---a true Canadian!! :D

My hat is off to all of you!

Davy
