A Sport Z thanks to HybridZ

Yesterday I posted on a Sport Z Magazine link and asked for your help in getting the subscribers to a level that would justify me taking Sport Z bi-monthly. I am very pleased to see as many HybridZ members saying such nice things about our magazine.

Art, Dave and I would love to take Sport Z to the next level, but before we can take it to a bi-monthly publication, our revenues need to grow. We need more subscribers, pure and simple. As you have no doubt noticed, our advertises grow with each issue and we have at least two new advertisers coming on board with the Spring 2004 issue.

Advertisers now know that we are for real and are beginning to trust us. If the subscription base increases by 3,000 Z lovers, advertising grows and we go bi-monthly. If I have the revenue to make it happen, it happens!

HybridZ, thank you for your suppoprt for these three years plus. Your support and supporters like you is what keeps us going.

Mike thanks. Spreading the word about Sport Z is the best thing you could do for us. Your offer is humbling and appreciated.

Bob, As you know, we are a close nit group here on HybridZ.org. I was the first to come out and be VERY skeptical of another attempt at a Zcar publication. You won me over... Well Art did, but that is another story for another day. I must admitt you guys have done one hell of a job. We appreciate all your magazine does to support the Zcar community, and in allowing smaller vendors the ability to showcase products.

Let's face it. Here at HybridZ, we are about performance, and every issue of SportZ seems to focus on some aspect of making a generation Zcar perform to it limits... We especial appreciate that segment.

From all of us, and especially from a now defunct vendor who needed the spot light shown on him before a major event, I'd like to say THANK YOU for doing what you do and PROVING me wrong.

I wish you many many more successful years, with many times over the subscribership!

I'm due for another 2 year renewal. I love getting a Z specific magazine in the mail!! It really makes it worthwhile to see some of our members cars in there, and you certainly have not disappointed us! :2thumbs:

Rick Markus and Rick Johnson are two HybridZ members with very decent writeups and pics :D from recent past.

As long as I have, build, work under and at some point drive a V8 Z, there will always be a place for HybridZ. (Where else do I get to ask stupid questions and get good answers).

I'm already working on getting another feature for down the road and look for JSR to be in the Spring issue.

Don't forget Pete, he made it in all be it in a small way, but in it none the less.

Perhaps you could run a promotional offer. For example, subscribe for 1 year, get one available back issue free; 2 years, 2 back issues free.

I think there was some sort of promotion for HybridZ members when I suscribed a couple of years ago.

P.S. I have not yet gotten my latest issue. Has everyone else gotten theirs?

[b']Robert speaking: We have run promos and some of them have produced orders. No major spike, but we appreciate everyone who has learned to trust us. We've only done the free back issue once and currently offer a free issue with a 2 year subscription.[/b]

Robert speaking: Looks like Santa traffic is killing us this year. The Winter 2003 issue has been out in the mail for two weeks and MANY HAVE NOT RECEIVED THEIRS. I get all over the USPS and noting kicks them into gear. I went through a year of auditing to qualify as Periodical (formerly 2nd. Class) and I only see a small improvement over Bulk Mail.

Art, Dave and I do everything we can to get the issue out in time and then watch the USPS sit on it. Frustrating stuff!

:D Yeah, thanks! That was pretty wild seeing my car in that shot at the drag strip and my name in print! My wife and kids were very excited!

Too bad it was rev limited to 4500 rpm at the drag strip - operator error!

(BTW, I did recently get the 2800 lb w/o driver pig to run a 12.78@110.4)

The mag is really great! And I like the 64 page format. With so many different models of Z out there (240Z/260Z/280Z/280ZX/Z31/Z32/350Z) it is difficult to get alot of info on any one model into one issue. More pages help. I'd be happier to see 80 or more pages, with more detailed content on the 4/yr schedule you have now than 64 pages every 2 months.

Alex - that's a great shot of your car!

Yeah, I did catch a glimpse of your car towards the back of the issue--but we need a full-on color spread of your car with specs!!!!!!!!!! Did I hear the words future centerfold? :D It couldn't happen to a nicer car. I can only dream...

[b']Pete, this can't be your first time in Sport Z -- can it?[/b]

Thank you sir.

Pete, see earlier post. When the revenue supports 72 page or 80 page, we'll be there. If you can possibly front me about $275,000 to null-out my personal investments to date, we'll be there for the Spring 2004 issue and beyond. Impossible you say?? Me too!
