i just got back from school and checked my mail. I got an email from JohnsNdiovu@netscape.net. heres what it said:

BE A SURPRISE TO YOU, WHERE I GOT YOUR CONTACT ADDRESS. I GOT IT FROM THE

NETHERLANDS CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE.

 

DURING THE CURRENT CRISIS AGAINST THE FARMERS OF ZIMBABWE BY THE SUPPORTERS OF

This is just a variation of the Nigerian scam that has been circulating the internet for the last 7 or 8 years.

 

It has also gone by several other names that I can't remember all of them right now.

I think that there is a slight difference between political asylum and an insane asylum, but i was wrong once before back in 1989.

I got one of those after this break from Mercy Kobe, wife of a computer scientist in Africa, who got my email from the international business bureau....funny, the only business I've done "internationally" of late was with Ross, and I believe that Canada hardly counts as international anymore.

A friend of mine pointed this site out to me yesterday, I thought that you would all get a kick out of it. The pictures are funny enough, but some of the correspondence is great too. This is the funniest crap I've seen in a long time. Especially the Akoye one. "Are you related to the famous runningback Christian Akoye? If so, can I get an autograph?" Simply priceless...

Ive read about these clone Nigerian scams, see the bit where "10% FOR ANY EXPENSES THAT MAY BE INCURRED IN THE COURSE OF THIS TRANSACTION" ? Well thats where they take your money and say bye Of course its kinda obvious, i wonder if they do end up scamming many people?
