cyrus
We need to have a Fastest Six Cylinder Shootout (FSCS)! fastest: Overall RB 2JZ Datsun inline Other Only rule must be on pump gas of 92 octane or less.
slownrusty
Sounds fun.....when, where.....someone bring a digi and video cam! Great idea. Yasin
dmyntti
You forgot to mention the GN. I think Scottie can put up some stiff competition if he can go.
cyrus
Instead of an event we could just sumit video to verify the run. Its easy!
BayAreaZT
Good idea. We could have regional classifications too. Fastest overall and fastest in each region. That would add motivation to those who know they can't catch scottie . Fastest cars can claim it in their sig. Only problem is it's impossible to verify what type of gas is being used. wigenOut-S30
Our premium here is 93.. so that would disqualify me... .. joking.. I think if you run racegas as a precaution to be on the safe side it should be ok.. I just gave the money for my front mount intercooler and it should be on the way soon.. (THANKS Jersey).. so I hope to be in the low low 13's high 12's in the not to far future.... I HOPE..
Scottie-GNZ
Only rule must be on pump gas of 92 octane or less. You can leave me out of this one. I think it is a waste to spend big $$$ on building a powerful turbo engine and then strangle it on pump gas. No insult to anyone, that is just my opinion :D. johnc
Only rule must be on pump gas of 92 octane or less. Then this is NOT the Fastest Six Cylinder Shootout (FSCS). Its the ALMOST BUT NOT QUITE Fastest Six Cylinder Shootout (ABNQFSCS). How would Andy Flagg fit in? I think he has about the fastest Z aorund at over 175mph or is this just a drag racing thing? Guest norm[T12SDSUD]
Yeah it should be called the Quickest ,not the Fastest shootout.

Half-thinking of building a Z-drag car with a 2jz-ge motor (can find front clips for under $500) and built 200r4

cyrus
The pump gas idea is because it forces people race there car in street mode, like when they drive it on the street. I want to know who is the fastest street car not trailer queen. With high octane huge amounts of power are possible, but that power is not there when the car is driving around. I doubt the many people cruise their Z with 114 ocatane. I live in CA we have only 91 octane. This might make the playing field more level. I was going to say no slicks to. This is just a fun idea I had, No one get upset. The idea is all in fun. Bottom line we can have two catagories: Pump Gas and Race Gas. This idea can be my motivation to finish my project! 510six
I don`t like the idea of pump gas.I drive my car on the street regularly...Wal-Mart, Sonic, ect.The best #`s I have posted at the track so far are 10.96@127.76 . On that day I drove 45 miles to the track, slicked up ran a 10.96 drove home.I have video and a timeslip if you would like.
fl327
Im in pump gas or no, just sounds like fun to me either way. Race gas works for me, just because when im at the track its always 90 degrees outside.
Guest Simon
Our fuel is 98 ocatane, here in australia.... and i thought that was low.... feel sorry for you guys in CA where it is 91....
