Z-TARD
Whoa.... Awsome. I've lusted after that design since I saw "Gone in 60 seconds". Seems like the performance is a bit exagerated though: 1000+ HP through dual 2.5" exhaust? Sub 8 second quarter mile times on 245 series rear tires? 230 Mph top speed with that much open grill area? Hmmmmmm..... I don't doubt that the car would most likely put the fear of God into any that drive it, but those numbers just dont quite add up. I feel like buying some powerball tickets now.... Tim240z
Not to mention the 11:1 compression on 32lbs of boost?
Z-TARD
Well, he might be running titanium pistons in a ceramic sleeved block, with 8 sequential intercoolers......... It could happen.

2many280s
My brother is building one just like that (Except not turbo). Its going to be just like the one from Gone in 60 seconds... a fake but close enough to fool most people
Guest Aaron
I ain't sayin' he's lying, but according to turbocalc 11:1 compression with 32 PSI would be 23:1 Dynamic compression and require 135 octane fuel.
wigenOut-S30
Man this person is DREAMING!!.. 7.8 @182mph on 245's.. YEAH right.. through 2.5 in exhaust and 32lbs of boost.. Sumo
Why are you all being so cynical? What's so hard to believe? did'nt you see that thing fly in the movie? :flamedevil: By the way, i think they make those clones here in Dallas for like $50,000 + a pop. zeeboost
Yeah, they do make those in Dallas, but I believe $50,000 is the base model price for them. You can buy larger packages, (basically more HP, suspension upgrades, etc.) totalling to around $110,000 I believe. My best friend's, brother's, best friend is one of the people that builds the Eleanor replicas in Dallas. I'll see if I can get a hold of my friend tonight and see if he remember's their website. 2many280s
I just love how they waited till 8000rpm to hit the nitrous in the movie.... I have a feeling if they really did that, several of the camera crew would have been killed by the shrapnel

Tim240z
Well regardless of the bogus power train info, it's a F'in beautiful car!!!
Z-TARD
Thats kind of the look I'm going for with my 240, old school muscle car, dechromed, smoothed, with just a dash of rice for seasoning. My Z will never be as cool as a Mustang fastback though.
RPMS
Apparently someone realized that auction was full of bogus information and cancelled it - the link doesn't work. Rats. I wanted to see what he was claiming.
