HakosukaJD
I also have a number of part guides in Japan to include "HyperRev" and "Street Perfect Tuning". If you have questions about aftermarket part costs in Japan, its easy for me to check. I also make periodic trips to Upgarage...if I find something interesting (like clutches for example) I'll take pics with the phone and post. They typically have a number of RB parts. RB26powered74zcar
**Some more good info I ran across over on RaceBread** This was the post I read>> " so I bought a timming belt tensioner for an 84-89 300zx from advance auto for $15. I compared it with the rb tensioner and it has exactly the same dimensions. I put it on and it seems to work fine. RB26powered74zcar
heres what is aplicable to the rb20/25/26 unless noted. head studs: rb20/25 202-4301 rb26 202-4207 rod bolts: z32 dohc vg30 bolts were reported to work on the rb25/26 but will not work on the rb20 (rod bolts are too long for rod, verify length of rb25/26 botls) pn for z32 rod bolts 202-6004 use sr20 bolts, may need slight trimming 202-6005 x2 (2 sets req'd if using kit) or alternatively order (rod bolts and nuts respectively) 12x ar3.67-1 12x n502 rb20 rod bolts ONLY : 202-6003 (l24 late,l26,l28 rod bolts) main studs: this is from my measurements of my stock bolts and my block rb20/25/26 except rb30, again verify lengths and sizes. 3x am4.600-1lb 11x am4.125-1lb 14x 200-8519 14x 300-8344 CREDIT carl (RaceBread.Com)
RB26powered74zcar
Found this on GT-R register site; 11010/11000-05U*0 - R32 (80 in early cars, 00 in later cars), R33, R34 standard block 11000-24U00 - R33, R34 N1 Block 11000-RRR45 - New Nismo Block "I suppose the rumor that the R32's are tougher may relate to the early 80 blocks. The other thing is that the metal gets stronger as there is less stress, de-stressing is done by time and/or temperature cycling, and R32 block is older and likley to have been through more temperature cycling. The N1 block has thicker walls on the cylinders and smaller oil channels to the head, like the tomei items. The Nismo Block is designed for 2.8l conversions it has even thicker walls, thicker top section to the head and maybe revised water channels." stony
its in other threads but i guess here it will be easier to find. link to the ATI damper set. http://www.atiperformanceproducts.com/products/dampers/charts/damnissan.htm and the powerglide rb26 adapter kit. http://www.atiperformanceproducts.com/products/adapterk/akit.htm if you plan on going to the track with a rb26 mated to a auto you will be in the catagory that will require a SFI damper and flex plate so you might as well get it when you do the swap. IM pretty sure in stock trim the rb26 mated to a auto wil get you into the hi tens easy at somewhere around 123mph.
