Phyxius
Is there a site or thread somewhere that summarizes nissan's stub axle diameters and spline counts as well as where to find them? I've been digging through old threads for the past half hour and still haven't found any concrete info.
johnc
For stub axles that fit a 240/260/280Z the spline counts are 25 and 27. The 27 spline stub axles came in 280Zs with manual transmissions. 280ZX stub axles were all 25 spline if I'm not mistaken.
JMortensen
Wasn't there an oddball 26 spline in some of the 260's as well? I'm sure I've read that here before...
Phyxius
What about 240sx's and 300zx's?
260DET
S13's are set up differently. The outer hub is splined onto the stub axle ie the hub and stub axle are separate items. The inner part of the stub axle forms part of the half shaft outer CV joint.
zcarnut
240Z and 280ZX stub axle: 25 splines spline outside diameter = 25.8mm 280Z stub axle: 27 splines spline outside diameter = 27.8mm Z31 stub axle: 26 splines spline outside diameter = 27.5mm
Guest JAMIE T
Z32 ZXTT and Infinity Q45 (and more than likely Skyline GT-R) have inner splined hubs that are 32 spline. The axle slips into the hub like common front wheel drive hubs.
