Sean 83ZXT
Doesn't it look all cozy tucked in there? Hopefully I can get her dialed in soon and let her stretch her legs soon.
260ZRED
Looks nice! Are you going to use that stock ZXT intake? I've had a lot of problems with so many "plugs" that you gotta use for all the unneeded crap. I always had a vacuum leak somewhere in there, then finally switched to a n42 intake, which fixed all the problems. What turbo you running? Sean 83ZXT
I'll be using it for now. I haven't had any problems so far, but in the future I'll go with a custom intake like the one from Lonewolf or a TWM setup.
Confused
What turbo is that?
slownrusty
Sweet...also interested in knowing what turbo that is and interesting how you have it clocked. Yasin

Clifton
What's the specs? How much boost are you going to run? On a side note. Your ZX in your pics gallery is probably the nicest I've seen.
Sean 83ZXT
The turbo is a T3/T4 60-1 Ptrim. If I remember correctly there were only 20 or so made. It uses a prototype lotus housing from what I'm told. I know a few other members have this turbo so they may be able to provide more detailed specs. The turbo was re-clocked because it didn't look like we could fit the intercooler piping next to the shock tower. Clifton - I think the pic you're referring to is of the ABR 280ZX in Japan. If you saw pic of my primered and beatup hunk of junk you'd realize the engine bay is the nicest thing on it. I'll try to get some more pics up when I get it back from the shop. Guest ON3GO
isnt the piping to close to the exhaust manifold? but that does look real nice and seems like its gonna scream!! mike
240hoke
Awesome! that turbo loooks sick. I too agree with mike that I/C pipe is little too close to the exhaust manifold, might also look at some shielding for the master cylinder brake booster area.. if you havent already maybe i cant see it. -Austin
oinojo
wow that is awesome...could you post how you got the external wastegate on there? looks like you had some kind of adapter...
Sean 83ZXT
It's close but the pic make it look closer than the piping actually is. I may have the turbo re-clocked a bit to point the outlet down. I'll talk to the shop on Monday. As far as the wastegate the shop made an adapter with two T-3 flanges and some tubing. violacleff
hmm will a t3 turbine be sufficient to get you into the 11's?
Guest ON3GO
well Thumper on here was close to the 11's and was on stock T3.. so its very doable with that monster. mike
Confused
hmm will a t3 turbine be sufficient to get you into the 11's? Yes, it will. Similar turbos (Meaning same or somewhat different), are 500+HP capable.
Clifton
Yes, it will. Similar turbos (Meaning same or somewhat different), are 500+HP capable. Not with a standard T3 wheel. Maybe stg 5. Sean that housing looks pretty big for a T3. You said P trim to, which is a T4 turbine wheel. What's the a/r on the hotside?
Sean 83ZXT
My notes say it's a .65 A/R.
