240hoke
Hey guys, Well after a super long weekend, lots of work and lots of wiring I finally got the car started. After doing a final checkover and correcting a few things we turned her over, she started the very first try. Im going to be cleaning the engine compartment up a good deal more, the main goal was to start her this weekend, so the heater hoses are blocked off and i havent bundled up the wires or anything. Also dont have a 240sx TPS yet. Anyway hope you enjoy! http://www4.ncsu.edu/~alhoke/Startup.wmv -Austin

240hoke
Hehe, thanks guys Right now its just running an open DP. Im going to be making a 3" exhaust wit ha dynomax striaght through muffler to tone it down a bit. Thinking about running one of those QTP electric cut-outs though. Thinking about running one of those QTP electric cut-outs though.[/quote'] I'm gonna have to say no on the quiting down part. Also I wouldn't recommend QTP electric cut-outs for nothing, I've had 2 installed one on my show truck and another on my friends Ford truck, both quit working about a month into owning them. Most of the time we ran open exhaust (not legal) and only open/closed them about 10 times before they quit completely. Another problem with them is its really hard to tell when exhaust is fully closed and fully opened causing you to run the mechanism while fully opened/closed wearing it out. So I would strongly recommend using someone else. Just my $.02 Tyson

2003z
so was that really the first start when you pushed that button??? That thing hardly cranked at all... awesome job.
240hoke
Nope lol, not the first crank. Although it started almost that easy, I couldnt hardly believe it. Of course I already had the ignition and fuel maps from my last motor, I just leaned out the settings for the 550cc injectors. 73turbo240z -- Im running SDS em4-6f. Hoping to upgrade sometime but it gets the job done for sure. It would be awesome to have datalogging capabilities, which I believe is offered on their new system, im not sure if the old systmes are upgradable i need ot check into it.
