lbhsbZ
Another thing about the lycoming...it would make tons of torque, but aren't those things only made for about 3500RPMs? That would kinda suck with out a 2.0:1 rear end.
patzky1
If you're really going to do this you better have a lot of patience, MONEY, and the ability to shake it off when it doesn't work. If that's the case, more power to you! Not trying to be too negative, but I don't see it as possibly working out well for you. Yes, you would probably be OK if you somehow got it properly cooled, figured out induction and driveline issues, and never dumped the clutch. However, there are surely easier/cooler/more functional/cheaper combinations to be made than this. My 2 cents Pat
Chewievette
Dont need the negative pep talk guys, I already decided not to do it back in march, when this thread died. Besides, I was not able to aquire the engines, so this would have been out of pocket, which is unacceptable.

Chewievette
she's good, a little neglected lately because of daily driver troubles but not too bad. She will be up and running this spring. I'm keeping the L24 until I decide on what engine I'll be swapping in.
Careless
However, there are surely easier/cooler/more functional/cheaper combinations to be made than this. My 2 cents Pat Not so sure about the "cooler" part. but all the others, sure! LOL
