peej410
Im building up a 260z from a customer and the gland nuts that came in the tokico strut box are the wrong size, the old ones i almost had to destroy to get out (despite lots of PB blaster and a little heat) so far i cant find any source, i did find some threads that said people got them from auto zone but those also didnt fit right, does anyone have any suggestions? BillZ260
260's differ in suspension depending on the build date. The early chasis were a continuation of the '73 240's. The frame and suspension pieces are all similar to the 240. The later 260's were the start of the 280 re-design, I think the 280 stuff is a bit larger in size. So you could have in advertantly bought early parts and needed late or vice vera. Take the serial number off your chassis and do some web searching to see if you have an early or late. I have some somewhere but I doubt I have 4. I can check if you'd like. Also, you might looking at returning the struts you've got for the correct size and you should get the glad nuts you need. Good luck, took me a while to figure out all the 260 subdleties (sp?).
JMortensen
I'm thinking that Tokico struts are going to require Tokico gland nuts. The struts vary in dimension, so I'd really doubt that a Nissan gland nut would fit a Tokico strut properly. I think the thing to do is contact them directly and see if they can send you a couple nuts.

CruxGNZ
Not sure which ones those are, but here's the gland nuts I have. They have a 1 1/8" hole.

Miles
I had the exact same thing happen. Had the correct p/n for my 72 240z rear struts, but the gland nut was too large. Contact Tokico and they will send you a new gland nut. Tokico no. 1-800-548-2549 Also note: the shoulder depth inside of the gland nut differs for different manufactures and vehicle types. Try to get a Tokico galnd nut or your strut may rattle. Miles

peej410
tokico is under new ownership and they no longer can just write up a form and send out the parts, paperwork has to be filed from the original purchaser, ie their distributor, and it could take weeks!!!!!!!!! Lunar240z
hmm... I just got mine like last week... when i called i asked for the sales person. I told him i needed them, and i explained the whole strut sectioning thing... i was expecting to pay but he said it was free... maybe he got fired... BillZ260
did you end up getting what you needed? I ran across all 4 of my stock ones. You could possibly have the centers machined larger if needed to accomidate the strut shafts and get some spacers to esure a tight seat.
