1971 240z restoration PICS

Recommended Posts

great progress.

way more than i can say about my own car.

i would imagine the headlight bucket bolt holes go over, as when they are bolted to the fender, the turn signal indentation sits over the bumper, so you'd have to do some weird cutting to get them to squeeze behind that little slit and overlap infront of the headlight buckets, simply because the headlights are attached to the fender pretty tightly at that particular area where they meet, and the indentation is.

How come I cant post the pictures just the links...

Try this: use "img" instead of "url" when you link the jpg. Hmmm, I'm wondering if the link needs 'jpg' at the end. Try what I suggest and see what happens. Otherwise upload the shots to HybridZ and link from there in what I just said---it should do the trick.

I just got the front body and rear body, door bolt kits $210 from ZCARCREATIONS

Craig is a good guy and has a good outfit--I'd never hesitate to buy from him at all. He used to be a regular member of the board at one time. Good guy.

Coming along nicely! : )

I'm growing more and more fond of the ZG-flares :)

Why use allen-bolts rather than rivets though? Just curious...

Oh... uh, and I... eh... been thinking about the grille. It kind of reminds

me of those BBQ-racks that public cookouts have available. Since they

are virtually indestructable I guess : )

Are you going to paint it?

I gotta say, that is an absolutely beautiful restoration. Kudos.

On the flares and bumper, very awesome. It looks amazing.

I am not quite sure why, but the grille was kinda jarring to me.

Methinks the horizontal slats, thinner, would be quite "in scale" with the rest of the car.

Again, totally amazing! :-)
