wingnutthehutt
It's on the border between an XKE and an Opel GT. Not that there's anything wrong with that. But it doesn't really look too much like a Z to me.
OlderThanMe
I know. I just wanted to come up with something different. I was looking for a classic look that would have a more "modern"(albiet 70s) underneath...

veritech-z
I like the actual picture of the g-nose car on the oni's the best, I want a car that looks like that so bad. Man, is this turning into a talent competition, or what? I didn't know it was getting all serious...guess I'll have to crank it up a notch, I've been drawing all mine cold, with no visual aids to go off of
OlderThanMe
I had done a photo shop of my Z but with black on the bottom and lime green on top.
veritech-z
How'd that work out for you? By the way, I think you should put my screen name really big on your windshield, just because that seems like a good idea. You could get like a big camo vinyl made up that said "Veritech-z" on it really big in that stencil font like military lettering. You'd be the coolest guy in Pensacola, that's for sure. OlderThanMe
ignore the turn signals... http://forums.hybridz.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=840&d=1151500286 I'd consider it if you gave me a 3.2 rebello special...or if someone gets me a turbo motor... In fact I'd do a camo Zzap! for that motor...
veritech-z
I like it, it looks pretty cool. You need some of this:http://alsacorp.com/products/retroglow/retro_show.htm for the green part, and you'd be all set! I don't have a turbo motor or a rebello special, but I might have some N/A fuel injectors laying around.
OlderThanMe
I have seen that stuff before...pretty cool stuff. I may do another sketch today. I am leaving Monday so I am a little busy now packing and getting the Z ready to go into dormancy....
OlderThanMe
Here is another idea I had a while back...I like it. It is a little off but not bad.
Guest Mike
Yeah... olderthanme has it right. Something with the wild fifties or sixties super-car styling. That's why I like the 250 GTO kit so much. There's just such a nostalgic appeal to cars like these. A '59 or'60 Vette kit would be great... or the famed Mercedes Gullwing roadster... or maybe a Jag D type:flamedevi

OlderThanMe
IMO most people with the GTOs just want to copy a ferrari which to do correctly they need to change the roof. It LOOKS like a ferrari with a Z roof...
Guest Mike
olderthanme... Yeah, that's true about the GTO kit cars. However, I'm not looking for perfection. There is no such thing IMO anyway. I just want a really decent representation of a nostalgic super car. My Alpha 1 makes me very happy just the way it is... appearance-wise anyway:wink:
Guest Mike
Maserati Ghibli http://forums.hybridz.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=1449&stc=1&d=1160494150
veritech-z
Mike, I like that Maserati, but I think the reason there is a GTO kit is because the original is so recognizable. I don't think there is as much demand for a Maserati kit. I personally would love to see a Toyota 2000gt conversion kit. I think that would sell for sure.
