Tool Porn.

I'll start with my favorite...

While nothing I own holds a candle to that (very nice, Ron), I like minor tools of destruction: lineman's pliers (good for ripping the crap out of things), small sledge (any sledge, baby!), and a 15" Crescent wrench (large enough to punish any nut or bolt).

Thanks Yasin,

That is a different kind of tool, but since you asked ...

WOW RON!!! I offically got a tool that stood-up and paid attention with that pic.

Beautiful...what are the specs? I have been looking on and off an E30 M3s for a while...there are sadly alot of roachy ones out there. Yours is incredible.

Nice to see another machinist here. I can't tell from the photos, is it a Bridgie, Sharp, Acer, Wells Index, Alliant? The next thing you need to do is install a cnc retrofit kit ;)

Wish I were... I'm just a hobbiest.

Its a Birmingham.

Been thinking about a retrofit since the day before it arrived

Thank You Sir,

Yeah, Its hard to find clean examples. If you're seriously in the market try s14.net. Be prepared for um, coarse-ness. Good bunch of guy's, but better have yer wits about you... HZ is a walk in the park

My E30 has the following mods... E36 M3 rack, GC Koni SA's, 600/750 Coil-overs, GC camber/caster plates, Lollipops, Re-machined diff. ramps, a bit of tuning, and misc. crud.

It's easy, relatively speaking. Heckuva lot simplier then rebuilding engines I think. Some DC servo motors, glass rotary encoders, power supply, Gecko drivers, wires, plugs, pulleys, and you're in business.

Thanks ColdFusion,

I participated in a (small) retrofit a few years back... It haunts me to this day. Maybe one day....
