tfreer85
Pretty cool, course the guy needs to learn to spell and his asking price seems pretty high. I'll watch it, might make a bid on it. Thanks for the link! Tyson

Stealth-Z
Definetly not a 1970. Has this one been sold and re-sold a few times this year?
alexideways
Looks pretty ratty for 5000 +
tfreer85
You know the it almost looks like a 280z, from the door panel interior pics. The door panel looks like mine on the 280 but not on my 240. Any one else have a guess for the year? Where's Alan T when we need him? tfreer85
Most likely it is a 1977 or 1978 model. Would this still have to follow CA smog laws? Or do you know? Thanks, Tyson
Stealth-Z
Would this still have to follow CA smog laws? Or do you know? Thanks, Tyson If it is truly registered as a 1970, then it just has to conform to that year. Since testing is not required for 1975 and older cars, due to a DMV error, it does not have go through smog testing every 2 years.
hoov100
for $5k i would have bought it if i had the cash, this is a true 240z gnose from japan, this is fairly rare..
HS30-H
...........this is a true 240z gnose from japan, this is fairly rare.. It is most certainly NOT an original factory-built Fairlady 240ZG ( 'HS30-H' ) model. Trust me.
Stealth-Z
There are more photos posted on it. The S31 VIN definetly rules out it being a true 1970 model. Interesting rear spoiler.

HS30-H
S31-011637 = 1978 production year. It left the factory as an L20E engined 'C-S31' model Fairlady Z-L. 'EVA' brand rear spoiler was relatively popular late Seventies~mid Eighties aftermarket part in Japan. 'G-Nose' is most likely an aftermarket replica too. Something interesting to note about the JDM Fairlady Z's. Notice they have the deep area for a full sized spare. This one has a few holes though. State side 77 - 78 280Z's had the so called space saver spare tire along with alot of press board raising the cargo compartment.
greenmonster80
I would be interested in the RHD portion of the car but that is all. Too bad the auction is full of incorrections. I e-mailed him a couple days ago but no corrections had been made. He is probably hoping that the g-nose keeps bidding going as the rest is not to desireable.
