I am taking apart the engine wiring harness to reorganize, so I would like to wrap the wires after they've been cleaned. Turned out looking like factory new.That's exactly what I have done on our Z's harnesses. Simple Green works well and won't cause the insulation to get brittle. Purple degreaser is a little stronger for nasty grease. It made sense to me to peel off the old wrap and inpect/repair the wires, put new connectors on and re-wrap.
